You mean the comment that was completely hijacked into a sensationalist headline?

Or the comment that he conviniently came up with some logical excuse for after the whole press got on his back and started calling him arrogant.

The words are the words, there was no sensationalism there for me. He did not deny what he said, except come up with some story about 'I meant that is just what I tell myself'. I have no problem in him thinking only Ronaldo and Messi are really better than him. If he really feels that, he needs to go and prove it of course, but I'm happy for him to put on a United shirt as he sets about trying to. I actually wouldn't be suprised at all if he believes the statement himself. He seems to fancy his ability a lot, and he probably watches loads of highly rated players and thinks 'I reckon I could do better than him'. If he was 30 and saying that, then yes - it would be a problem. But he's at the right end of his career to have such motivation.

The most impressive thing about him for me is how hard it is to get the ball of him. He doesn't just waste possession all the time like alot of tricky wingers.

He's also pretty strong on the ball. Uses his shoulders a lot to shield the ball, from what I've seen.

Not really, he tries stuff like that all the time. He is more of a keep trying until it comes off type. At the moment he has a bit of the Gervinho's about him, some of the stuff that he does is great but some is absolutely awful.

I have been rather disparaging about him earlier in the thread but now I can see his potential. The question is if SAF can iron out his kinks a la Ronaldo. I can see us wanting to mould him like Ronaldo, to make him more direct and devastating. He has similar attributes to Ronny in his pace, power and skill. I do feel that Ronaldo had/has a better basic touch though.

You could be right. I was just commenting on that one gif. Comparing to Gervinho is about right. Gervinho is actually a skilful player. Although seems like Zaha has more end up product, either assisting or scoring.

Still no video of his performance, annoying

This. Would like to see his video (the good and bad moves). And thanks for showing that George Best video on the other thread, Raees.

I hope Zaha doesn't get star struck in the summer when he comes to us.

A newbie PM'd me this. Thanks, UtdFan (what a shite username ;))

Wilfried Zaha (England) Vs Romania U21 (Friday 22 March 2013).

I can say that:
- He loves one and two touch football.
- His dribbling still look awkward.
- He's a good passer; hard to believe he's not Carrick, you know..

Looks a bit meh in this vid tbh. His touch seems to be very hit and miss and also looks like he's not always actually in control of what he does.
Haven't seen much else of him though.

Obviously still raw. He has so many attributes that he uses constantly, but not all at the same time.

If he can "control what he does", as some have said already, it will be difficult to see him actually losing the ball. The pace and strength he has - its fantastic.

Yeah. And his quick turn is Henry's like. I can see few threads in the foreseeable future comparing Welbeck and Zaha. Young attacking players, with similar attributes. As for now, Welbeck is more compose on the ball, but Zaha has more tricks (unpredictable moves).

Surely SAF will want to make him play more like Ronaldo, to be more direct. I didn't really appreciate how strong he was previously. I think that will be one of his best attributes.

Which are attributes that you'd expect a lot of promising young players to have. There's also a good few things that he does very well from watching that video. For example, his strength on the ball and his willingness to bring other players into play are pretty welcome sights.

Remember he was playing in a role he is not used to either.

When I watch, this part of him is what I take away the most, however, I will defer to those who think he is quality for now.

I think he's just gangly. His style looks loose but he's always creating chances or scoring and that's what good players do. He has a long way to go, but he's a threat and being unpredictable is a great quality. He seems quite instinctive and seems to have good balance so looks a positive buy for us.

He's not as gangly as Welbeck. Looks like a daddy-long-legs half the time (to be fair, that's probably due to adjusting to his growth).

Nevertheless, I wouldn't mind seeing him and Welbeck playing together - seem they could be on the same wave-length.

Cheers was refreshing just to see a great United winger who demonstrated what this club is about... showmanship and flair, we're the only english club I think which has that balance of winning and true individual flair. At the moment the likes of Valencia and Young, just don't set my heart racing.. has to be said.

Anyway to Zaha... this kid is a unique footballer, he's still very gangly.. looks like he has alot of growing to do in terms of physical bulk (even though he's very strong already with his wiry frame).

Lacks a little close control, more a Ronaldo type winger rather than a Messi (close control, never loses the ball) but his passing is very good - good one touch flicks, passing across the box.. his crossing is better than Young and Valencia from what I've seen in his Palace comps, and he's likely to be a better goalthreat than the two of them . This kid has a touch of the Laurie Cunningham about him, he's either going to be a big hit or be out his depth.. I'm excited to see how he fits in with better players and whether he'll be massively hyped going into Brazil 2014.

To be fair he looks like the best English talent since Rooney based on that clip. His first touch & technique look top notch. A natural. Needs to be more precise in his passing mind.

Apparently he is -

#EnglandU21s XI v Austria: Steele, Wisdom, Dawson, Lees, Rose, Chalobah, Lowe, Townsend, Shelvey, Sterling, Wickham.

I had a really fit dental assistant. I once got a boner whilst she was leaning over me and her breasts were massaging against me.

There was no way of hiding it either. I was in the middle of the room with a full-on boner with people around me and a light full-beam on me.

She left soon after.

Translation: You're mildly attractive dental assistant had large breasts and because you're sexually frustrated you got a semi on.

Her being fit and the part about her tits massaging against you are both lies to make your story sound better.

this happened after his meeting with Rihanna after he took more acid

It was Rihanna. She was a dental assistant before she started all this singing crap.

No, the story is unfortunately true. But after my Rihanna story the other day, I am in no position to expect to be believed from now on. Oh and my story about my Dog Margaret.

Link of that thread, please.

He deserves a plaque

Ugh. Extract that joke and put it under your pillow. The tooth fairy can use it to frighten bad children.

There's a teat joke there somewhere.

Feck! Suspended for the televised game. Such a stupid suspension too.

Atleast, get to see Michael Keane in the Leicester City game today again.

I really like what I've seen of Zaha. He's obviously raw and inexperienced, but he was the league's player of the year last year for a reason. He didn't just appear overnight. He's been gradually getting better. If you compare some of his very early appearances to now, he's made some great strides on his physique. He's tall, but he's also got a fair bit of bulk, and he's clearly been using his physique to his advantage, when it comes to shielding the ball, but also when he knocks the ball past his opponent, chases it and uses his muscle to win the physical tussle. His dribbling looks world class already at times. He's got a huge springy sidestep which looks incredibly dangerous. He's going to be a handful.

In his current form and with the momentum he has, he is probably joining United at the right time. Our wingers are struggling a little, and the left wing position is there for the taking, and has been for a long time. I do believe Zaha has to play alot of football next season, whether that's for us or on loan is a different conversation, but he's got stacks of momentum, his confidence looks to be sky high, especially so after sealing his move to United. It would be a huge shame to stunt that momentum, especially when our current options in his position have been incredibly underwhelming this term.

On the left hand side, we have Young who has never really been outstanding for us, Welbeck, Rooney and Kagawa are all suited to central positions, Giggs is 39 and Nani is Nani. I really don't see much of a reason why Zaha shouldn't slot right in for us as a contender to start. If our wingers were performing like last season, it could be a daunting task for young Zaha to get a foot in the door, but he's really got a fantastic opportunity to impress with our current situation.
