If we sign no more attacking players that would be some sort of relief at least. Won't happen though, the guy could break a leg by then.
no matter how many Lb's or DM jose wants the team is short 15-20 goals from midfield since last season and we haven't been able to address it. so Greizman is the only logical explanation i can think of as Lukaku or Morata where coming in regardless.
We probably should be. Even if it costs 200M. We're down to only a few real gaps in the squad if we're really giving our most talented youth big roles (Martial, Rashford, Pereira, Shaw), which is fine with me. If we spent that on Neymar instead of Perisic and basically only sign one a cheap replacement for Carrick (Gonalons just went for 5M, there are smart DMs available in La Liga without breaking the bank) and someone to challenge Shaw (and Darmian can fund most of that latter one) I think we'd be fine:

probably looks better as a squad than what we'll end up doing if we spend 50M on Perisic and 150M on 3-4 other players. Everyone in Bold I think can be trusted to perform at a quality level for the next 3 seasons and one of Lindelof or Jones should be able to do so as well, along with at least one or two of Pereira, Fosu-Mensah, Tuanzebe or another young player not yet in the first squad. That's 16-17 guys. We're at the point in terms of depth, once we get another CM, where one overpriced star and trusting a younger player already around might help us more than 3-4 decent signings, though I've always been a Zidanes and Pavones guy.
Sanchez and Vidal. Sadly who knows what that means for Martial
yes hence why we have spent over a £100 million!

I don't think Perisic and Matic are smokescreens, I think Mourinho wants both of them. The only reason they are not in the squad right now is that we don't want to pay over the odds.
