Who are the players behind the Perisic and Matic smokescreens?

Kate upton. She can be the mascot along with Fred hopefully
 
I'm becoming a big fan of the smokescreen tactic Ed's started to deploy, didn't he do this last summer as well?. I always end up being pleasantly surprised.

My guess, has to be someone at Monaco and probably a player from Dortmund. They seem like the kind of talent pools we're looking to poach from.
 
Using “smoke screens” to pay 75 mill (or whatever it is) for a player in the beginning of July strikes me as an unusual strategy.
 
So Keane, Morata, Matic and Perisic were smokescreens for Lindelof, Lukaku, Weigl and Ceballos.

This transfer window is like an insanely complicated game of Yu Gi Oh. Trap card after trap card.

Did Woodward just go after every player on the list? And Mourinho suddenly reminded him last week how we was actually supposed to approach the list.
 
I'd hope for Alexis. Would be amazing to have him at United. Top player.
 
I have a sneaky feeling we are signing Nainggolan, most likely 2 Belgians arriving at United this year.
 
I doubt these are smokescreens, they fit with the ugly aesthetic we seem to be going for, but there's no way Cheslea will sell Matic to United after this Lukaku malarky.
 
I think there might be a smokescreen behind Matic, but a forced one.

There is no way in hell Conte sells to us now, given we've mugged him and his club off for Lukaku. Which, for me personally, is a good thing as we could do better - I would genuinely rather spend half the money on some African lad playing in Belgium/Holland/France with an engine and Kante-esque potential than spend 40m on a nearly 30yr old slow anchorman. I'm hoping we get Fabinho, which would be gold, but I'd love a rough gem from elsewhere for decent money.

Perisic, unfortunately, I don't think there's a smokescreen. We'll end up spending about 45m pounds on him.

There were reports about us negotiating all summer ffor Lukaku? I must have missed them.

We maybe looking at multiple targets but its almost always just one player being talked about per position.
 
Be great if we steal Sanchez from City. One moment, everyone saying he's at Manchester for a medical (for City) , then United upload a pic of him holding the #7 shirt :devil:
 
Lukaku and Lindelof came out of the blue. I'm kind of expecting (and hoping) the same to happen with the next 2 or 3 signings.
 
Verratti and Dybala - The fans choice
Guimaraes and Neymar - My choice
Insigne and Kimmich - Most under rated
Under and Sanches - Talented youngsers and probably the only pair we have any realistic chance of signing of all of these
