What would be an acceptable offer for Pogba?

I think Woody will be stubborn and not sell him and try offering him £350-£400,000 a week to re-sign. This will be rejected and we end up selling him for around £60 million or £30 million plus a young player next summer.

How did Liverpool get to the top exactly? Mane/ Van Dijk- Southampton, Salah-Roma, Firminho (some second rate German club). We will get back to the top by making astute signings and having players that would sweat blood for us! Pogba is not that guy... let him go; as someone mentioned before- United make stars we don’t buy them!

What is happening at this club right now that gives you any kind of confidence there is a stable structure with solid coaches to develop young players into players that will help you contend. Has Shaw made any progress in his time here? Who has come in and improved at this club? Rashford is having a great season, but is he truly that much better than he was at 18? He's still a poor finisher, he's still making some really dumb decision, he's still incapable of being effective when he doesn't get space. Martial? Martial is really talented, but his improvements are on the same scale as Rashford, tiny. He runs a bit harder, he's learning a new position, but he's not really that much better than he was at 19 either.

McTominay is one bright source of hope for the development at this club, but he's an exception rather than the rule. Let's see how Williams and James develop but right now you can understand why anyone would be skeptical.

And Liverpool will buy stars as well now that they have become an attractive destination on the sporting level. If you're competing for the highest level, it's hard to do it with just kids you hope pan out and not looking to get some stars in as well.

United is now likely to have to go back to making stars instead of buying them because there aren't many stars pushing their way to come to United and when you see how Pogba gets treated by some of his own fanbase, I'd understand why others wouldn't either.

Also, Klopp and his coaching team has a lot to do with this transformation, I'm not seeing that kind of developmental force at United.

No idea. Didn't PSG effectively freeze out Rabiot? And that was without him being a c*nt or having a c*nt speak for him.

Pretty sure Pogba or more likely Riola would sue if we had no intention of giving him first team football for the remainder of his contract, could effectively walk for free if proved.

He can ply his trade in the U-23's all he wants. We'll show him the same respect he's shown the club.

Oh I’m with you pal but I don’t think it’s as clear cut as that unfortunately, would be legal claims we are stopping him having any chance of playing for his country in a major tournament etc.

Why bring up a situation that you clearly have no idea about?

Pogba is a model professional, Rabiot was frozen out of both PSG and now France, there's a very good reason for that. And the cnut in that regard was his own mother (who's his agent) and himself. PSG did everything they could to keep him at the club and make him a centerpiece. If you had Rabiot at your club during that time, you'd look at Pogba in a much more positive light; it's nowhere near the same situation at all.

I don't mean to come at you like that, but you're making a comparison that's so terrible because you don't even know what actually happened with Rabiot and how much worse it was than whatever you think is happening with Pogba.

Haha do one you WUM, three different threads your posting Pogba is a model professional

Easy now. The ins and outs of it (Rabiot at PSG) are inconsequential in how I was using that example - as an example of a club choosing to freeze a player out (for whatever reason) without having any problems from a governing body.

If we can only talk about things we know everything about then we can just shut the forum down. I can't help thinking that you were upset by my negative impression of Pogba's attitude and commitment. I don't mind you thinking he's a great professional. But I really do not see him that way.

He’s a full blown WUM - not even a red throwing model this pro that everywhere. Don’t get involved.

In two different threads you're bashing Pogba at any chance you get and you're calling someone else a WUM. The hypocrisy.

You really do make yourself look silly at times.

This is my honest opinion, he’s taking the piss.

I enjoy him, he doesn't realize how ironic everything that comes out of his posts look.

I have a feeling him and his agent are trying to drive his transfer price down because Real won't offer more than 50M at best for him.

Don’t fall for him mate, he’s trying to suck you into a cult or something. At least I’m honest in my opinions he’s up to no good :nono:

Fair enough if you just use the comparison of the method used (although freezing out Pogba because of whatever dumb reason is senseless but I digress), but when you add the commentary that it was without Rabiot being a cnut, that's when you get my reaction. I follow PSG very closely being born in Paris, and Rabiot is far worse than anything you've dealt with Pogba or other players. That's what got me involved more than whatever impression you have of Pogba's attitude or commitment.

I don't mind that one bit. Personally, I don't care whether Rabiot is a c*nt or not (I don't want him in a swap deal, tell you that much). But I definitely do think Pogba is a c*nt, and I've thought so now for 2 years. Used to be a huge fanboy. Used to criticise SAF (in his almighty wisdom) for having let him slip through. But despite his incredible talent, he is an absolute 100% c*nt. So, you go back to hating on Rabiot, I'll stay with my Pogba fury.

And for only $129.99, you too can become Pog-enlightened and enjoy a free stay in our Pog-cult. We give free haircuts and dancing lessons on Thursdays.

Up to no good...

Yeah, we are gonna get offers of £50-60M cash and some shitty player they want to get rid of making on-the-paper value in £90M range, which is more or less what his market value is when he is in form, anyway. But Ed thinks he's a £150M value, which is plain stupid.

We will firesell him or let him go for free in the end

I just wrote that I'd take £60m plus Kroos. But actually that's not the right way to think, we need young players so I've edited it.

His agent wants a transfer fee. No evidence Pogba is unhappy or requesting a move. Nothing to see here.

150 million seems about right but nobody in their right mind will pay it. Crazy to think how far we have fallen, this guy wouldn't get in our 2013 team and isn't in the top 10 players for us this decade yet he would cost a fortune.

Don't really see why we should sell him for 50M or something. It is not like we need the money to bid for another player. If we want a player, we have the money.
Besides Woodward doesnt think we need any players as such.

Oh I’m with you pal but I don’t think it’s as clear cut as that unfortunately, would be legal claims we are stopping him having any chance of playing for his country in a major tournament etc.

what legal claims ? we are under no obligation to play him it is a squad game .
I would immediately trigger his 1 year extension and announce that we will only sell him on our terms not his and if not he can rot in the reserves for the rest of the season would love to see how twitchy him and his parasite agent got as the Euro’s get closer .
Treat fire with fire make it clear no one is bigger than the club

200m. That is the Harry Kane price and Paul Pogba is definitely in that bracket of a player with 20x the size of shirt selling capability.

You should maybe check net spend last summer .

Seriously pal, my position on Pogba is pretty clear for all to see (not a fan) in case you haven’t seen me posting in Pogba threads. But you can’t do it, you cannot put a player in the under 23s I guess it is today and say you won’t play him.

Lawyers would have a field day. (Unfortunately) don’t agree with it but I’m telling it as it is.

He might be in terms of ability (different positions obviously) but if he's not doing it for United and doesn't look like it, I'd want us to be realistic without getting our pants pulled down.

Part of me wants to play hardball (for this situation and to set a precedent) and stick him in the reserves if he pisses us about. But we lose out too... wages paid, value falling, one less player for the first team squad, bad vibes, potential new players may not want to come. I can't see the Glazers taking a chunky financial hit just for a principle.

If he truly doesn't want to stay, I'd look for £100m+. If it's Real and they're still touting Kroos, I'd take £80m and Kroos. May be 29 but would still be a step up for us... Def Mid or Centre Mid. We desperately need a player that retains possession and/or plays through passes for our forwards (who are decent but get limited service and mainly too slow).

Use the cash to get another midfielder. 2 for 1.

He’d miss out on his well earned loyalty bonus if he requested a transfer.

On the question at hand, I’d take anything over £80m for him at the drop of a hat.

90 or 100 million.
Seems to be picking up a fair amount of short and long term injuries too.
