What would be an acceptable offer for Pogba?

£200m. If Raiola starts throwing chair around, send Pogba to reserve. Feck that fat greedy cnut.

Things are bad but most people dont realize how good he is. Best we've had since Rooney and Ronaldo in 2009.

Look at his worst game for us - against liverpool when he gave away the penalty. He was bad but still split their defense open and set Ibra up for a sitter.

There's too much of a gulf in class between pogba and our next best player.

We had Ronaldo who was the best player in the world. Look at his surrounding cast - Scholes, Giggs, Vidic, Rio, Rooney, Tevez, Hargreaves, Evra, Saha, Berbatov, Nani.

Now? Name one world class player that plays with Pogba that is not a goal keeper. I'll give you Martial based on age and his debut season.

We need him more than he needs us.

If he leaves I can't see any other world class player wanting to be here.

There's a window of opportunity here. Barca and Real aren't great. City dont look like last year. Jose and his tactics aren't working but we dont have enough world class players.

World record fee or get fecked

£50m but they have to take Jose as well. £200m otherwise.

£120 million in my view. That’s far beyond the value I’d attribute to him based on his actual performances for us but takes into account his marketability and market inflation. Were it not for that, there’s no way we’d even get our money back.

130-140m for me - But we should look to get hard working good stable players the other way, as this is our main problem, quality and consistency.

He'd have to be 150 million on the current market. Secretly behind closed doors the board will be so glad he showed up for the World cup, at least it protected his market value and now people know it's Mourinho's system.

I've figured it out. We get 100m for the player and another 100m for his images rights. They can opt to just buy the player while Woodward milks the cash cow. :wenger:

Agreed. First get a new manager and then see if we can repair the relationship w Pogba while adding more pieces around him. He does better with bigger personalities around him to keep him in check. If after that, pogba is still acting like an ass-clown then ship him off to Barca for 175 mil and be done w it, but I think you have to give pogba another chance with a new manager first, too big of a talent.

There's not a chance they can afford him. This deal can only happen with us accepting players in part exchange, because Barca will need to get them off the wage bill in order to make an offer for Pogba.
Sure, they've given themselves a little bit of wiggle room having sold Mina and the other guy to Everton but Pogba is surely going to earn something similar to Coutinho, £200k a week or so, less than he earns here.
Who would they offer us now in part exchange? Denis Suarez?
I'd only accept something like £80M and Rakitic at the very minimum

That would be van persie.

Think Rooney and Carrick also showed more post 2009 than Pogba. Nani too. And that's ignoring keepers and defenders.

Anything over £100 million - if rumours are to be believed that he wants to leave regardless of Mourinho or not

There's a part of me that wants Jose to get sacked and the new manager to bond with him.

Fergie would have booted Pogba out a second time if he would have tried this bullshit with him. Pogba and Mourinho should both leave a.s.a.p because they share one thing in common in both being more interested in their own agenda rather than the club they have the luxury of working for. Both are being handsomley rewarded for it and behaving like idot´s. Pogba is not bothered to put in a effort and Mouriniho is behaving in a manner not befitting a MAN UTD boss. His behaviour during the summer was pathetic and he has continued during the season. He´s hardly going to get the players on his side while criticizing everybody exepct himself. When managers are defending them selfs talking about the titles they have won in the past it shows they are getting despairate. Fergie had this thing that you were only as good as your last title and you should always be looking for improvement. The plain truth is that under Mourinho we have no plan, no vision and we are getting dragged further behind. He has spent a lot of money but most of it not well. Klopp has a plan, vision and seems to be able to find players to fit his style of play. We are alll over the place and be need to face that.

Think we'll be thanking our lucky stars to just turn a profit on him.
Maybe PSG will come in for him, although we took a huge hit on Di Maria even with their bottomless pit of money.
The French league would be great for Pogba too, so win win.

Let's not bring up this game because it was embarrassing overall. The scenes of Pogba emojis ads around the whole pitch accompanied with him missing a sitter and causing a pen. This games sums up how much wrong United went through post SAF when it comes to prioritizing marketability on getting players.

That game was a wakeup call to me what the club is now. I was gutted

He isn’t good enough to make Madrid’s line-up. Best place for him is their bench. On current form, he wouldn’t displace anyone in Barca’s midfield line-up either. Marketability isn’t that significant as those clubs already have some of the most marketable players on the planet. Therefore, they would be hard pressed to shell out anything over £100-120 million for him and that’s even when you consider inflation and the fact they would be fully aware of the eccentric personality and flamboyance that comes with the player. He would be most valuable at Juve or PSG who actually need a midfielder of his quality and attributes.

Depends what team he actually goes to. He's probably in the top 5 most marketable players in the world (which he has us to thank for) so he's worth at least £150-£175 million in my opinion.

  • Real Madrid: Bale or Casemiro plus £50 million
  • Barca: Can't see them willing to part with that sort of cash and beyond their staring XI there's nobody we need
  • PSG: Straight swap for Mbappe
  • Juve: Dybala straight swap or Chiellini plus £80 million

This is what I would like to see when he soon goes to one of those teams. Most likely destinition in my opinion is Real Madrid who will want to replace an aging Modric sooner rather than later.
I laughed at this I have to admit. If PSG and Madrid were been run by kids this still wouldn’t happen.

Have to agree with you, I’ve mentioned it in another thread if we lose pogba we are not going to improve we have no one to pick a pass or make those driving runs he’s capable of .

If there are legs to this Juve rumour then I'd take a straight swap with Dybala. Or double what we paid.

Having brought Ronaldo for 90 million, which I gather is in instalments,I cant see Juve spending upwards of 90 million on re-signing Pogba. Not for atleast another season, which circumstances for both teams could be potentially different.

Now,IF Juve do actually show concrete interest in the summer I would predict the offer on the table may include 1 or even 2 players and a knock-down in fee.
Unfortunately for us,similar to the rumoured Barcelona bid in the summer, the players who could potentially be offered wont be the ones the fanbase particularly want or rate.
Players like Khedira,Bentancur,Can and Mandzukic will likely be the sort of player Juve would be willing to offload.
Now obviously we can just reject that offer and then there in-lies the case of how far Juve want to go in bringing Pogba back.
And a case of how far Pogba and Raiola are willing to push through with a potential deal.

You cant sell your best players. You just cant. We got robbed on the Ronaldo deal. The owners pocketed the cash. Our owners aren't the worst but we cant trust them to invest the money if we sell pogba.

It would be 200 million and imagine another Valencia and owen type investment. It would set us back 5 years and no world class talent would want to join unless they were from Salford or something.

On the basis of what we've seen from him, I'd say that his unreliability and don't-give-a-shitedness mean that he's worth about £50 million tops but, even at that, who the hell would match his wages based on the disinterested / give the ball away / wtf performances that he's given in our shirt?
If he's worth a cent more than that then Mourinho should be sacked for not getting even half his price out of him.

He's grossly overrated imo, so the same money the mega stars are going for.
Iregardless of opinions on his performances, Pogba makes big, big money. Clubs would be interested for his name as much as they would for his ability.

Two balloons and a goldfish on current form. On best form? Probably 60-80m. We overpaid. He’s not that good. He’s not a neymar or messi or ronaldo. Not that bracket of player.
