What next for Mourinho?

There’s a certain 27 year old CB playing for PL leader, he should take a look, preferably seal the deal this window :wenger:

That would be a hilarious full-circle. Losing to Liverpool cost him the job, so he goes to Real and buys their best center back in ages.

The thing with Jose is that you can't really believe him 100%. Today, he might think that he does not want to say anything about us. But tomorrow when things go bad and media keeps bringing up his failures at United, he might snap and criticize lot of things that were wrong with the club.

Give an example. I can't remember ever hearing him bad mouth Porto, Inter, Chelsea or Madrid. He did fire back at Casillas recently and Ronaldo sometime but they both drew first blood.

Anyway, classy thing for players, managers and clubs to respect their ex colleagues after departure. That's the point. So far Jose has shown some class regardless of how he was here and how he left.

It's called a guess. You may be right but you really don't know.
So I'm guessing that a billionaire pound company, trading on the New York stockmarket wants a clause for a period of time after they sack somebody so that person doesnt bad mouth the company. This isnt just a guess, its pretty much how everyone handles things.

If this is true then you’d think that the Madrid link is credible. Why else would he give up around 5m to be available for work immediately?

He wants to work? Doesn't exactly need the money getting sacked and paid off every couple of years. I'll be seriously surprised if a top club goes near in the next year or two him after antics at utd and with us before.

Lower level club might but would he want the job!?

He’s not going to negotiate a lower compensation from United to take a small fry job halfway through the season. It would make more sense to take the full amount and go on holiday to size up his options until june-ish.

I've got a feeling that the back end of Mourinho's career will have a similar look and feel to the back end of Robert De Niro's acting career.

I read somewhere he is going to be a pundit for Chelsea Vs arsenal tie :D.

His personality was very suited to the 2000 decade. The way most players think changed and he couldn't follow. He would be best suited to a pundit career at this point.

Like a bad comedy? Certainly applies to our last 12 months with him.

:lol::lol::lol:

Pretty much every single thing Mourinho said Man. United couldn't do in the first half of the season they are doing now.

Composure, Athleticism, Resilience, pace, quality, all there today.

Even big Dave didn’t look himself under Mourinho. No chance he would have kept all of those out today under Jose.

They'd all be deflecting past him like the Shaqiri strikes.

Seeing how the players have responded to the change, and seemingly more attacking influence inserted into their play, is it Mourinho legit sabotaged the side to stick the finger up at the board?

It's utterly bizarre to do such. But almost seems he did so just because he didn't get to spend an extra 100M.

As the weeks go on his reign here looks more and more disgraceful.

What the feck was he doing? Did he even bother with training?

Mourinho's first TV appearances post United will be on beIN Sports on Thursday 1630 for the Saudi Arabia v Qatar game (???) and the Arse v Chelsk game on Saturday 1730.

That should be interesting. Wonder what credit he will try to take for our last six games and whether he will do a Moyes.

He must be feeling very salty right now. Keys and Gray will get straight into it I reckon.

I am not the one for conspiracy theories, but am leaning more and more towards him having done it on purpose.

Yes, there was some amount of sabotaging for sure. But primarily, he's just a footballing dinosaur and is no longer relevant at the top level of football.

No sane person could play a midfield 2 of Matic and Fellaini in a single game let alone against such an energetic and high pressing Liverpool team. Some of his line up this season and end of last season were really pathetic that you wondered if the man didn't lost it. Leaving Pogba on bench against Liverpool and not even use him was criminal.

Madrid are mad to even consider him for the job. He'll end up at Everton.

A toxic manager with serious flaws in both his ability and duty. After his performance this season it seems utterly surprising that anyone would employ him. How does he respond to questions about his team’s performances after he’s been sacked? Both Chelski and us are transformed. Perhaps clubs will employ him for a couple of shit seasons, reduce ticket prices etc. then sack him and ride the profit wave from improved performances. Never wanted him but his sacking has to be the club’s most insightful board decision since the Glazers took over.

Keys & Gray will suck up to him no doubt, wouldn’t be surprised if he had a few subtle snide comments about the players, namely Pogba.

Biggest fraud in football. Capello 2.0

I wouldn't say he was a fraud. He had something special at one time, but he didn't adapt his philosophy and became out of date. His tactics and formations were overly cautious, to the point where teams in the bottom half of the table were outplaying us. He set us up so defensively that we were scared to cross the halfway line. Mourinho has lost his way, big-time.

He's become (increasingly) precious - he thinks he'll always succeed so long as he's given the tools; when he doesn't get them, he flounces. It's a kind of denial, shored-up by ready-made excuses.
