What if Liverpool win the league this year?

I'm genuinely concerned :nervous: :nervous: :nervous:

They will be unbearable if they actually manage to pull it off and with them having no European football as a distraction, it looks like there's no stopping them this season. :(

What's worse is that Mourinho could be the first manager after Fergie to allow Liverpool to win a league title under his reign.

If Liverpool win the league, they'll literally buy Southampton football club.

We've got about 400 members on here who are Liverpool fans (230 filled out the 'Supports' thing, while there are plenty who haven't), so things will be interesting if they do.

Just hope nobody creates a congratulations thread like someone did when City beat Barcelona.

It is a real possibility this season, unfortunately :(

Even though on paper they have a team that should be struggling to make top four.

Every time they win, I have to pray Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs or Man City win too - can't have them winning this damn league in my life time.

What a sad state of affairs :(

Think their squad is too thin. But then again Jurgen Klopp is a serious man manager and can get the best out of average players. One or two injuries and I can see them falling behind, plus it'll be an ask for them to play that high pressing game for the whole season.

Then it will be better when we next win it back again.

It's bound to happen at some point and they are looking most likely this season.

They could and in which case I will take great joy in the City fans moaning about how they should have bid for messi.

If they win then they will have deserved it just like any team that wins the league. And if they keep up their current performance level they'll have won it in spectacular fashion. They are genuinely exciting to watch at the moment.

Having said that, I'd rather any team won it before them, their fans will be unbearable but it's gonna happen sooner or later.

They'd probably feel like they were entitled to part of the trophy if we did pull it off.

Wow that's a lot. I thought it would be around 50-60 max.

400! That's far higher than I would have thought. They are going to take over the forum

I didn't fill out, some mod done it for me two times!

Seems like one of those destiny things. United went 26 years without a title, Liverpool go 27 years before winning it (probably).

I pity the newbies if it does happen.

They don't all post though do they? Think I've seen maybe ten/fifteen regulars..
They're all just waiting quietly for the title win and then they will activate and swarm all over the forum

Yeah they are serious contenders. Hate to see it happen but its been so long since their last title I guess it will be sooner rather than later that it happens.

Firmino, Coutinho, Mane, Origi, Sturridge and Ings, That is some serious fire power!

Would suck but if they did it would be a one off. Too much competition now. Besides, Madrid and/or Barcelona will need to rotate their manager soon enough and Klopp could be on their radar.

I don't think he would leave even if they did wan't him. He seems loyal and loves the underdog thing he gets at Dortmund/Liverpool

Ok, if they do win the league this year then, I vote for all Liverpool supporters to be permanently banned from the caf. WTF are they doing here in the first place???

If Liverpool win the league everyone gets banned forever.

I think the other rival clubs won't be as poor as they were back in 13/14 when they came so close to winning it. Chelsea look to be in good form under Conte, Arsenal might be good enough to slow the others but not actually win it themselves, I think we'll do much better than 7th and could be in shape to stop Liverpool in the home fixture, Spurs are a real contender under Poch and City are probably their biggest threat.

One day Liverpool will win the league again. For some it will be the end of the world, for the rest of us working out what to have for breakfast the next morning will be a more important issue.

Still very early days. Mane will be a big miss when he goes off to the AFCON. Encouraging that we are putting teams to the sword weekly though.
