What four players would you like to see come here in the Summer

Think it's been an indication of the way we do business lately. We don't leak much anymore then all of a sudden we've got a big name being unveiled on Twitter. I prefer it personally, the transfer saga's ruin my summers.
Not sure that’s true, Everyman and his dog knew about Miki, Pogba,Lindelof,Lukaku, the intrest in Griezman, Zlatan the only one that has been a surprise is Bailly. The rest have all had build up to it.

Alex Sandro
Djibril Sidibe
Ruben Neves
Riyad Mahrez

Toby Alderweireld

I'd like to see four from Kimmich, Sandro, Alderweireld, Kroos and Willian come in.

Realistically I'd be happy with four of Meunier, Sessegnon, Soyuncu, Neves and Mahrez.

Really... You knew of Lukaku coming to united early on? All the news I read were suggesting he was off to Chelsea. Was pretty surprised when we snapped him up.

Also, I don't see Sanchez in your list of names. Surely that signing caught you off guard?

Danny Rose+
Thiago Silva+
Jamie Vardy+
Shaqiri+
Sandro+
Fred
-Fellaini
-Blind
-Martial
-Shaw
=Quadriple

So you'd buy 2 left backs, a 33 year old central defender who hasn't played that well, a striker we don't need, a very underwhelming Shaqiri, get rid of Martial and we'll win the quadruple?

I like your optimism.

In
Alex Sandro

Dybala
Meunier

Out

Shaw
Fellaini
Jones
Carrick
Darmian
Blind

I would prefer we kept Shaw over Young but let's be honest Mourinho hates him so...

I hope we keep Martial too but should we lose him could be come useful in acquiring Dybala from Juventus as will Darmian in the Sandro pursuit.

Lukaku is who everyone thought was our number 1 target through out the year.we were also heavily linked with him the year before with his dad even coming out and saying we were the favourites It wasn’t a massive surprise there was a build up to it.
There were also reports we were looking at Sanchez, just people and media accepted most likely his destination was City. It’s not like the original post I was responding to at all was suggesting. There was a build up to most of our recent buisness except Bailly.

This year we have been linked with Fred, SMS mostly however I’m not massively inspired by those names.

It's 5 but, let's go full FM  All about potential.

Alex Sandro
Djibril Sidibe
Ruben Neves
Riyad Mahrez

Toby Alderweireld

Love the fullbacks. Sidibe in particular seems like a no-brainer due to being 25, good in both directions and at a selling club.

I think it's 4 + Martial replacement at this point.

#1 - CM (can come into squad with Mctominay or Pereira gone),
#2 - RB (Darmian goes)
#3 - LB (Blind or Shaw go),
#4 - A CB (with injuries, not sure losing anyone other than Blind is worth it, though if Mourinho likes Tuanzebe or TFM then selling one of the older CBs is fine if one comes in)

and then if Martial leaves:
#5 RW to replace him.

I think he's quite good why don't you want him

I'm not convinced he has quite enough ability to overcome what I perceive as a bit of a deficiency in his attitude. Similar in a way to what is holding Martial back - but his inconsistency is more down to inexperience rather a than lack of talent/ability.

In:
- Sandro
- Alderweirald
- Milinkovic-Savic
- Jorginho (Fred if Jorginho heads to City)
- Sessegnon

Out:
- Blind
- Darmian
- Carrick
- Shaw
- Tuanzebe (loan)
- Sessegnon (loan)

Think this has a good chance of happening and would leave us a lot stronger for next season. Would like another full back to come in but, unless Meunier is gettable, don’t want us to invest for the sake of it. Let TFM cover Valencia. Maybe loan Sessegnon back to Fulham if they come up, would probably put us in a better negotiating stance if we do go in for him.

I will expand @Rozay . Watched him all my life (I'm Croat), really like him but he just didn't progress as he should be. His attacking game is pretty much the same as it was when he was 18, great dribbling, especially when he has space on the counter, but struggles to make an impact when the game is tight. I don't think he is the player who would be a significant upgrade on Herrera at this moment.

If four players, one or two first teamers and two or three top youngsters to bring through. We have a couple real needs in the starting XI, but after that I’d be really selective.

I remember the years Liverpool wasted with massive summer turnover. They never seemed to get the quality they needed. Maybe the quantity didn’t have the negative effect I thought I did, but I am deeply suspicious of high turnover.

Four players is fine. Four first teamers would make me nervous.

Sidibe really? Technically average, not that fast similar to Darmian and prone to a 'Bailly mistake' a game.
Ricardo Pereira is the guy I'm hoping we sign. Honestly after watching him last year at Nice and this year tearing it up at Porto, he is the one. Hes a top RB now and only going to get better. Technically sound, rapid, great cross on him and runs for days. Spurs and Arsenal apparently linked now. I read Leicester had some sort of agreement for £24m... for him, what a steal.

I dont think 4 is enough. MU needs 5 at least.

CB Alderweireld
LB Sandro
RB R.Pereira
CM Fred
RW Neres

If it's possible, 1 more CM Pellegrini or Neves.

That would be possible but in 2 transfer windows. I can't see Mourinho signing a half new team (5 or 6 players) this summer.

They are fantastic players, but Dybala is not a winger and a midfield of Matic/Pogba/Savic would not be balanced in my opinion.

Anything under 5 good signings and nothing is going to change next season. If Jose gets the transfer window wrong then he has dug his own grave.

If I was him though, I'd be looking to bring in:
- Alderweireld
- Alex Sandro
- Milinkovic-Savic
- Mahrez
- Another FB (unsure of who tbh)
- Fred

Meunier, Sandro, Savic, Bale and bring back Fosu Mensah and Pereira to squad.

Would really like us to get Sessegnon from Fulham and loan him back or to another Premier league team should they not win promotion.

Sell Blind, Shaw, Smalling or Jones, Darmian, Mata.

My latest thinking;

Alex Sandro
Alderwiereld
SMS
Ruben Neves

Play Sanchez on the right and Rotate Martial/Rashford on the left

Alderweireld
Gelson Martins
Milinkovic-Savic
Meunier
Sessegnon

I wouldn't like to challenge for the league title with a 17 year old with no top flight experience.

I have been watching Adama Traore this season and he has been nothing short of phenomenal. At present he reminds me of a young Valencia, but with more pace and I really think we could use him as a cheaper right sided option. He has averaged 9.7 dribbles per game this season and likes to get to the byline, not to mention he is physically extremely powerful.

At 22, I honestly think that he could develop into a fantastic attacking fullback/wingback in years to come and could offer us energy, pace and width on the right side, permitting that he can defend. I would like to bring him in as an understudy to Tony V.

I wanted to create a thread for him but I'm not sure how to do so.

He is so talented running with the ball but is there any consistency or end product? I am asking that as not seen him this year, only when he was in the premiership and found him so frustrating with the talent he has. Cant imagine him as a full back from what I have seen of him

LB:Sessegnon
CB: no *real*idea who would be a great CB to buy.
RW: Really! Want Dembele from Celtic(huge fan of him) shows no fear.
CM: Fred
RB: No idea but we really need one.

cb: Unai Nunes
Fullback: Henrichs (can play lb or rb which is a bonus)
cm Santiago Ascacibar...tiny player, massive heart. Reminds me of a young Gattuso, would bring big energy to the side...followed him since the Olympics
cm Alan Guimaraes, only saw highlights of him for Brazil in Liberatores but looks a massive massive talent
rw: Dembele if at all possible

All gambles bar Henrichs and Dembele (injuries permitting) I think but going for different names and players I think fit the profile of player we need and have world class potential. Also think there is a bit of nastyness and possible leadership motivation in a Nunes and Ascacibar long term which we need in the side.

Also wouldnt be disappaointed with the likes of DeLight, Sessegnon, Pavard, Neves. See none of these signings happening and more Mourinho signings of athletic players and experienced head strong players, not sure it solves anything long term though, especially entertainment wise.

Not going to be popular but I honestly couldn't care about the average age of our squad and the age of potential signings. I want the title now. Sign ready made players if we must i.e. Alderweireld, Sandro over De Ligt and Sessegnon.
