Westminster Politics

The Government are allowing business to 'profiteer' in order to make up for the (apparent) losses suffered under Covid.... it is nothing really to do with Ukraine (although that doesn't help) etc. but that gives them 'extra cover' with the public, with luxury goods you can make choices, with staples like food, energy, house costs etc you can't.
TBH cannot see it getting much better if Labour got in, the 'rot has set in' and it goes deep!

Agree with this.
I am a naturally positive person and tend to 'always look on the bright side of life'...
Having said that, there is not much to be positive about at the moment.
As you say, COVID and the war in Ukraine are being used as an excuse for everything. Especially by the government.

But it is blindingly obvious that the current high inflation, high interest rates and cost of living crisis is affecting the UK much more than the rest of our competitors, especially in Europe. And as we all understand, Brexit is having a major effect.
Nevertheless, these high prices are going to be with us and we will not see them back down to those before. That is for sure.

What's this?

A really shit reference to the fact that May was vehemently opposed to any notion of cannabis reform (which all front bench MPs seem to be these days), whilst her husband was/is the largest investor in medical marijuana in thE UK. To the point where I think the UK actually exports the most medical marijuana in the world, of which May is a major beneficiary.

She's more of a bitch than I thought

Breaking ministerial codes seem to be of fairly regular occurrences right now. Thought Sunak was going to stop the rot.

Breaching the ministerial code and/or breaking the law is a badge of honour for these cnuts.

Always love the candid snaps of the chaps in charge in their less composed moments. My favourite is the cheeky snap of Eichmann almost fumbling a zyklon b canister as he trips on a child's skull.

Right fecking lads. Hilarious meme potential.

Interesting because their go to excuse is always that they're following the 'independent' review body's recommendations.....

Absolutely!

I also love how an article about it notes the government lying about how nationally the 4.5% offer was fully funded (it wasn’t) but that some schools on an individual level wouldn’t have the cash for it!

If it’s nationally funded then EVERY school in the nation has funding for it you feckers!

This will guarantee new waves of strike action.

They have destroyed almost every single public service in this country. I genuinely can't think of a single one that isn't actively worse than it was 13 years ago.

Maybe some community of European economies, to pool resources and create an economic superpower. A Union of some sort

Do these people even hear the words they say?
Based on her previous, that's actually pretty impressive by her standards.

"If I do feel scared I deliberately challenge myself not to feel scared."

"Tyrrells crisps are one of the top sellers in France. I don't know if you've tasted crisps in other countries, but I really think British crisps are world leaders. I went to China and they told me there is only one type of potato available there."

"In London the average person is paying 50 per cent of their income on rent. Just think how much better off people would feel if that number was a lot lower."

"I was Margaret Thatcher in the school election during the 1983 General Election."

"We're trendsetters, first to welcome brilliant inventions into our lives, from the microwave meal to Instagram. Britain is a nation of Uber-riding, Deliveroo-eating, Airbnb-ing freedom fighters."

"The British brand is so popular particularly in the US that they put the union jack flag on top of beer bottles because it sells."

"I want people to buy British because it's the tastiest food and the most exciting food."

"I have to admit I don't like pizza. I love it. And I am prepared to do literally anything to get my hands on a slice."

And, of course, PORK MARKETS *grin*

She has been saying this for months. Someone has to have pointed this out to her by now.

I mean in fairness to her (and I hate to give her even the slightest bit of credit) she was a remainer. She's ended up having to push brexit as the tories have become more extreme but fundamentally she clearly also believed this. Probably the only sensible thing she's ever said.

I can't believe this speeding fine is even a thing. Are Labour that desperate?

There's plenty of serious things to have a go at Braverman for, but paying a speeding fine shouldn't even register.
It's not the fine, it is that she tried to use her influence to get special treatment.

Breaking ministerial code for the second time in a year certainly should.

She's such a cnut I'd use absolutely anything if I thought it'd get her out.

Unfortunately Sunaks position is so weak, and he's so lacking in bollocks, that there could be video evidence of her barbecuing kittens and feeding them to terminally ill children and he'd still do nothing.

This is exactly how some people reacted to Boris Johnsons party's.

It is the sense of impunity. Trying to get away of it. Or boris with the parties ir other MPs asking or 10k a day because of their influence, etc... they are above the law and they dont care. They are so petty that they even try with a meager (for them) fine

These interviewers should just end the interview when these cnuts decide to do this.

She has already been done for bullying and now she is breaking the ministerial code again which is serious. The speeding offence itself it not that big but the other parties and not just Labour have called for an investigation into the breach of the code and therefore leading to a resignation. Of course Labour should be going at that to weaken the Tories further and continue the infighting. Show how weak Sunak is.

Are you regurgitating the Telegraph or the Daily Mail opinion here? It's often hard to tell the difference.
