Corbyn also recorded his lowest score for being trustworthy and someone that sticks to his principles, according to an Opinium poll of 2,016 adults online on 13 and 14 December, falling below the prime minister..
. Meanwhile, with Labour divided over its Brexit policy and as pressure grows from MPs to back a second referendum, support for the way Corbyn is responding to Brexit is low and falling. This month only 16% approve of his handling of the issue, against 55% who disapprove. Last month, 19% approved and 50% disapproved.
Another one for the scrapbook, along with him not realising getting trade through Dover seamlessly was 'important'. How is this guy actually a serious candidate to be the next Tory leader
Just feel the others are more intellectually dishonest than abjectly intellectually bankrupt. I'm probably giving them all too much credit tbh.Have you seen the competition?

Oooooh Jeremy Corbyn...

Honestly he better stop with saying they want an election... At this rate he will loose to the maybot

Jesus christ, who can look at a 19% or 16% approval number on a policy and not be having panic meetings about immediately changing course? The arrogance of not doing that is astounding.
In fairness, I think the last election showed he can weather large amounts of unpopularity when campaigning, and that, so far at least, there haven't been a great number of single issue voters on the remain side.Considering the entire argument for him not changing course on Brexit is supposed to be based off polling and not having the numbers to do so, you wonder why those who still think he's on the right track are presumably not to worried about these figures. Unless they're being selective...
Well only certain pollingEvidently Labour are now keen to using polling to their advantage after years of dismissing it. Wonder why that is.
Look at this lying bastard.
Out of a sorry lot, he's the worst.
At least we aren't alone:
‘We are becoming a joke’: Germans turn on Deutsche Bahn
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/dec/20/trains-on-time-germans-deutsche-bahn-railway
Deutsche Bahn transports 2 billion customers a year and is the largest rail operator in Europe. At its peak, 95% of German trains ran on time, whereas at one point this year that figure slumped to just a third.
blah blah - greedy train company profits - renationalise and power to the people etcGermany’s Pro Rail Alliance, an amalgamation of non-profit NGOs and businesses, says 90% of Germans support its call for more investment. It argues that despite a big financial injection in recent years, Germany’s €69 per capita spending in rail infrastructure still lags far behind that of comparable countries such as Britain (€165) and Switzerland (€362).

From my admittedly very limited outlook it appears like Deutsche Bahn is a case study on how not to privatise the rail business. Apparently they overdid lean management to the point its heavily affecting their service level (like punctuality). Problem is there is no competition to make then pay.
Im sure our resident germans could add perspective.
Deutsche Bahn is state owned though

How does competition even work on railways? If I need to go somewhere at a certain time, it’s not like I have a choice of carriers on that route.

You could allow bidding for certain routes for example. Then see whether they held what they promised in their bid. But I agree with you and @Cheesy it's really difficult. You'd have to account for the whole infrastructure cost also plus it's ecologically beneficial to have people use a train instead of a car so there is strong incentive imo to have the state deliver rail services. How does competition even work on railways? In some countries you do. In Italy there are two carriers operating high speed routes. The private company gave the state company a kick up the arse and services are now excellent on both, whilst regional rail remains an absolute basket case.
Problem with privatisation in Britain is that it's not really privatisation, it's just a government granted monopoly. You need the competition aspect.
After 8 years of austerity. I don't know if Labour are terrible or this country has lost its marbles.
Because after 8 years of austerity the actual people on the street dont see any difference between now and when we were pissing money away left right and centre.
Plus the complete failure of Corbyn and his team to mount anything like a credible opposition cant be over looked, he has failed every challenge and fallen at every hurdle and missed every opportunity to capitalize on the failings of Mays governent.
So now he doesnt just appear to be a relic from the bad old days of socialist labour, he looks stupid and ill advised as well.
