West Indies vs England - Tests and One Day Series

COME ON!

Prior returns in place of Davis, Harmison for Khan.

May Harmy have found/find some form.

England have won the toss and are batting, 80% chance of rain apparently.

Please post updates nick, I can't watch this as I'm off to school now:(. If there's chance of rain then lets hope we score at a high rate and keep the windies tamed to start off with (this will be vital if the DL method is used)

31/1

Strauss reached for one that he really shouldn't, a wide otherwise, of which there have been many with Powell getting some jeers from the crowd.

Disappointing as Strauss hit a decent boundary only a minute before, and Bopara hasn't quite clicked into gear yet.

KP caught for 17 just after having just hit a six.

Pressure on Bopara and Shah for a bit.

72/2 off 15.

205/3

Coming up on ten overs remaining.

Don't want to jinx him but Shah's doing much better.

Just got him though, Chanderpaul, which is just as well.

Some over though.

Harmison has had a decent enough day otherwise however.

WI have lost because of a miscalculation by the management team. '99 semis all over again.

There's bouts of spontaneous laughter from English and West Indians alike.

This won't be forgotten in a hurry.

Anyhow, if we'd played out the 50 i think we'd have edged it.

A win and improved performance, and Harmison will be feeling ebtter after the catch.

Did anyone see Collingwood walking around with a miners helmet on? We weren't going back on.

James Anderson has improved his speeds very much, he used to bang the ball in around 86mph, now he can easily bown them up to around 92mph. He is england's fastest and best permorming bowler atm and always gives 100%.

Pathetic. And we still don't have a coach in place for the ashes. That's 5-0 to the Aussies then. England really need to get their act together, they have much better players than this.

Do England win anything these days?

We are reigning World Elephant Polo Champions, took it off the Scots if i remember right.

I can't imagine that KP's comments did much for team unity ahead of yesterday's game.

It should be remembered i suppose that this one day squad will be unique in so far as Strauss opening and being skipper, this is a short term measure [The display was still shocking though]. Ironically Strauss has probably been one of the better performers however, particularly in the context of others who much is expected from in shorter version of the game.

Flower and the selectors really need to come by the right combination as regards the batting order, the bowlers didn't stand a chance.

Open with KP and Prior, Shah, Bopara, Collingwood and so on.

"I'm at the end of my tether now," he said. "I'm ready to do a Robinho and disappear back home."

One of the key differences between the two sides on show at the minute.

Throughout the ODIs so far England have hit 1 six, the West Indies on the other hand have just passed the 20 mark.

I knew the gulf was big but THAT big? Thats simply unacceptable, we have some big hitters out there, I'm normally very patient and accepting of our cricketers but thats inexcusable really.

All over. England win their first one day series in the West Indies.

I missed the hat-trick ball. :( No matter. :D

Freddie was producing yorkers on request today.

If Flower wasn't nailed on to be made coach permanently, he is now.
