Wesley Sneijder

I LOVE the fact that sarcasm and humour is lost on 90% of Caftards.

I mean, do people REALLY believe that we burnt a message into the Carrington grass specifically for Sneijder?

It was obviously intended for Brown's return when we play Sunderland also.

Dont be so fecking patronisng, of course we didnt believe that - do you think we're stupid or something :nono::mad:

It was Fergie & Rene that did it on Sunday evening - Micky Phelan & Gill hovered over it in Avrams chopper to assess the aerial view during its construction!

Translation Telephone to the rescue!

Schneider, Manchester, Manchester, USA unfortunate choice.

Or even better, the first paragraph!

From.

Wesley Sneijder has a simple choice: join Manchester United with its empty coffers, thin squad and ageing manager. Or sign for Manchester City. Even a footballer can't screw that up.

To.

Schneider is a simple choice: an empty treasury and head of Manchester United and Manchester City, I write for some time. You may have to be destroyed.

Speak for yourself mate.

If we sign Sneijder it will require another rejig of the side to accomodate him and Rooney getting shunted somewhere else.

I don't think Sneijder is the player for us as he likes to play with 2 defensive midfielders.

How would you set United up with Rooney, Berba, Sneijder?

I'm not paid to do that. He's a quality player and he will improve our midfield. He'll inspire the lads around him. He'll show everyone that we're serious about aspiring to be the best. How it all fits together is up to Sir Alex. You see Kiko and everyone wanting him to come to United. Psychologically it's worth it. I think with the youth we have coming through, it's what we have to do in some respects

he improve us more than the likes of fletcher and carrick can offer to us....

1. Perhaps look at my post in its entirety. You know, the tongue-in-cheek bit at the bottom about it being for Wes Brown...

EDIT: ARGH! I missed your tongue-in-cheekness because my window's too small! Browsing in work time FTL!

2.

either a heros welcoming or thats some real imaginative photoshopping!!

adzzutd, is this supposed to be genuine??

Fixed!!!

There is no way that that is genuine. Photoshopped all the way.

Just looked on Google maps for Carrington and unless, very strangely, the cars parked in the car park this morning are exactly the same as the day the photo was taken for Google maps, then it is a fake.

Good try but I call bollocks, sorry!!! Put your cocks back in for a short while

Is he feck!!

He might sign, but that picture proves absolutely nothing

My sources are hard at work today - Thank you Guiseppe of Milano Vista dal cielo.

You would think that if the Club is willing to spend a record amount on a player, than they would've thought a clear position for him in the team.

And no Veron deal isn't a comparison as we had Paul Scholes and Roy Keane in that team.

Jesus, this thead is crazy, you muppets.

I was out for two hours, new posts, Caf shows me thread on page 95, last post on 98th...

I'm going with my gut feeling and say it's not a matter of if but when. I believe United have been in touch with Milan and gill is just crossing the t's and dotting the i's in trying to finalise an agreement with them.

So I reckon by 5pm on Friday we will know definitely. If not then I'm going to sulk all weekend and will probably get alot of abuse on here.

If it helps, I was the first person on the caf to say we got Berba back in the days

Gary Pallister said:
"Maybe he is the sort of player that has been missing from United's side since Roy Keane left," he said.

"He will bring a bit of steel in there.

"There are no doubts about his temperament and ability to succeed at Old Trafford. He has played at the San Siro and been a success.

"Sneijder's pedigree is up there with the best. He's got great quality, a good engine. He has got the experience to go straight into the side and make an impact.

"United have got young players coming through but they have lost a great player in Paul Scholes and they need to replace that."

..

caftards here are going to go crazy if sneijder doesn't join, it seem they are all waiting in anticipation of his arrival.

Will be a bit of an anti-climax for me even if it does go through.

40m for a 28 year old Sneijder whilst we let a 26 year old Charlie Adam go to Liverpool for 10m without even making a bid? Madness. :(

I can't see any white text. I really should be seeing white text. I agree Sneijder would be a huge gamble for a huge fee, but Adam isn't United class and never will be.
