Wesley Sneijder

Wesley Sneijder has backtracked on his earlier commitment to Inter Milan but is leaving open the possibility he could leave the Serie A side.

The Holland international, who has been linked with a number of leading clubs throughout Europe this summer, claimed on Friday that he had no plans to leave the San Siro.

But now, despite insisting that he still "loves Inter with all my heart", Sneijder has left the door open for a possible big-money summer switch.

When asked if he could tell the supporters he would stay, Sneijder told Gazzetta dello Sport: "The Inter fans have always treated me very well. They were wonderful and I want to simply thank them.

"Then, only God will decide where my future lies.

"I can be certain of one thing: if I remain at Inter, then I will give my all to win everything again.

"When you have had the greatest and most surprising year of your life (winning the Treble in 2009/10), it's only natural that the next will be less rewarding. Not everything can be perfect.

"Having said that, I had fun in my second year with Inter and was satisfied, even if we didn't win everything. At least this way we still have a few more objectives to reach.

"I love Inter with all my heart."

Yes please.

GW Bush should get a twitter account for football ITK he used to talk to God all the time when he was in office

I won't call any future players of ours a mercenary.

And plus he might just take a pay cut to join us.

Understandably.

He seems to be a right mercenary does Sneijder, if we did sign him it'd probably only be a few seasons before he was coming out with this kind of shit again.

Probably. But then he'd be closer to 31 and we'd be looking to cash in anyways.

Modern footballers are all mercenaries. I think fans probably need to adapt to it.

Everytime I hear a player say only God knows my future I roll my eyes. Seriously not that nonsense again.

You've just put him between a rock and a hard place... If he comes he's a mercenary?

The sad thing is that this news has surfaced only after more concrete evidence that Chelsea are in for him. And with Guus leading the way, plus Chelsea's money - it's safe to assume where his heart now lays....

Dutch Influence/Gaffer + Money = Bye Bye Inter

Nah, the more the saga drags on the more I think we won't be getting him, he'll go where the money is. If he comes to us he'll prove me wrong.

I didnt know David Icke was an football agent & Sneijders agent more to the point...

Italian popular website, Corriere delle sera and Gazzetta dello sport + espn (Moratti denied at the moment)

Work in progress...

Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Moratti is looking for a coaching change with current manager Leonardo considered as a better sporting director in the long run. Bielsa, the former Argentina boss and outgoing Chile coach, is a free agent.

"Let me clarify this, there has never been a telephone conversation,'' Moratti said on the club4s official website, F.C. Internazionale Milano - Sito Ufficiale. "We have a coach and he is good.''

Leonardo, who replaced sacked Rafael Benitez at the helm in December, led Inter to a runners-up finish in Serie A and the Coppa Italia title.

Moratti also spoke about his surprise at the recent remarks made by his Dutch winger Wesley Sneijder.

Sneijder, who has been a reported target of Chelsea this summer, was quoted as saying: "Only God knows if I will remain at Inter.''

Moratti said: "He said the previous day that he was more than happy to remain in the Inter family.''

(AGI) Paris - Leonardo may be the new manager of the Paris St Germain soccer club according to L'Equipe which reported that Inter's Brazilian coach was in Doha last weekend to meet with the new owners of PSG who hold 70% of the club's shares.
Leonardo has allegedly been offered the position of manager, the same previously held for Milan .

Rubber, my first attempt at fully indulging myself in the muppetry that is the transfer forum.

It looks pretty set that he's leaving Inter now, and from what I have read in the papers he's mainly been linked with City and Malaga. Anyone else think that this little gem of a player could actually make an impact for us?

Admittedly most of what I've seen this guy has been in the orange jersey of the Dutch national team, and from what I can tell from looking at his stats, he wasn't an unconditional success at Madrid but for Inter...wow! This season he seems to have been halted by injuries, which is always a drawback of course.

However, whenever I see his name in the first 11 he's one of those players I'm relishing the prospect of watching. The stuff he can do with the ball is simply amazing, and he has a vision for the game that is up there with the best. And I hate to make the comparison, because we all know there won't be a new Paul Scholes, but in terms of ability and style he does remind me of him.

He's at a good age to where he is likely to have his peak just ahead of him, good free-kick taker from what I have seen, and like I said I think he could really be a good signing for us, and I'm surprised that him being shipped out from Real hasn't gotten more attention than it has. He could be one of those Dutchmen that really only shines in the orange of the national team, but if the price is right I would really love to see us make a go at him.

What say you, Chief?

For me he'd suit us well. He is one the few out there similar to Scholes of the late 90's. Lets see what SAF thinks.

Yeah, Scholes. A player like Scholes can't defend to save his life, though. What he has is though is positional sense. That is why he survives in a 4-4-2. Sneijder is not different IMO, for he has fantastic positonal sense. So he shouldn't have trouble in a 4-4-2. At least the few time I've seen him in the system he has had problems. I think he'd be the perfect replacement, he's also a practising Catholic and we've got enough churches in Manchester for him to choose from.

His wife is also smoking hot.

Leonardo to leave Inter for Paris Saint-Germain sporting director post within 48 hours - report

Leonardo appears to be edging closer to an Inter exit, as L'Equipe report that the Brazilian will be appointed as sporting director at Paris Saint-Germain within the next 48 hours.

On Tuesday, reports surfaced that Inter president Massimo Moratti has already approached former Chile boss Marcelo Bielsa to take over from Leonardo ahead of the 2011-12 campaign, while the former AC Milan coach has reportedly met with PSG representatives in Qatar to discuss his future.

Moratti was quick to deny the rumours about both Bielsa and Leonardo, but L'Equipe are adamant that the Brazilian coach is on his way to the French capital, and that a deal could be concluded shortly.

Leonardo is currently on holiday in his native country, however negotiations between PSG and the coach's agent are expected to be completed in the coming days.

Qatari Investment Group recently acquired a major stake in the Ligue 1 side and are keen to turn the club into a force to be reckoned with in the footballing world. They hope that the presence of someone with the international allure of Leonardo will give the club a boost in the transfer market.

The 41-year-old, who played for PSG in 1996-97, is still fondly remembered in the French city, and is expected to work in a directorial capacity, complementing the duties of current head coach Antoine Kombouare.

Sneijder: "We'll see, we'll see."

Right at the beginning.

Cocks truly out.

Dismissive would have "no."

He's left this completely open, every indication from him as a player is really that he does like United, add to the fact he's left it wide open.

There is no one else in world football as near to Paul Scholes as this lad. To boot, he's fecking quality and can take freekicks and corners like a demon. Or should I say, devil, like a red devil.

Sneijder 7.
