Posted on the Caf 30 minutes before the kick-off v Barcelona.

Apparently they changed 'Fergie' to 'a source'.

The one thing about that article that pleases me is the idea that in Anderson, we may have a star in the making.

I think the kid is a great player, just that certain parts of his game didn't seem to merge properly. Maybe that is all changing.

Yesterday Paolillo suggested that for now, Wesley Sneijder, the company has not received any offer. "If you come we will see ...", he told reporters yesterday. According to the Security Council the manager was simply talking about Inter's Massimo Moratti and Inter's line that the player feel more 'expensive' 35m of that 'virtually' Manchester United have offered.

"If grossed 42mln Zamparini - the newspaper sports - for Pastore, a phenomenon that potential has not yet won anything, why would someone who has won the Champions League and World thirty-five should be worth ?"...

CdS: "Sneijder? Per Moratti vale almeno quanto Pastore..." - FC Inter 1908

Why would someone who won world 35 be worth?

I don't really understand that article, is it saying 'cos Pastore went for over €40million that Sneijder must be worth more than €35million?

Paddy C on newstalk in Ireland this morning said he thinks Sneijder is odds on to sign if he. accepts united reasonable contract offer

Brilliant - he's odds on to sign if he signs.

In other breaking news, it's odds on not to rain if it's dry.

I'd settle for him playing 35 games a season without injury.

Alos - raises and interesting point. Fergie seems to see Anderson as a defensive midfield player when his pace would suggest he'd be better further forward.

Maybe Fergie now think she 's made a mistake.

When did this happen?

if he hasn't signed by next wednesday can we delete this thread please? it's giving me too much false hope

It's like the Fabregas saga, long and boring :boring:

I don't think we will sign anyone else this summer

Sneijder ignoring United rumours

Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder is ignoring the persistent speculation linking him with a move to Premier League champions Manchester United.

The Holland international is in Beijing with his club preparing for this weekend's Italian Super Cup against city rivals AC Milan.

But reports have suggested Sneijder has travelled to China with the distraction of a contract offer from Sir Alex Ferguson's United, which would possibly involve a decreased salary.

Inter have always maintained they do not want to sell 27-year-old and, having previously admitted anything can happen, the playmaker himself is focusing on his football

Sneijder is quoted as saying by Italian media: "I'm a footballer, I have many objectives and I want to win because I enjoy winning. Saturday is the first big challenge of the season.

"Playing the Super Cup in Beijing is cool and will be great fun. It's the derby, too, of course, so it will be a great match.

"I'm really pleased to be here. I like this country and the people. Seeing all of this Nerazzurri passion will be a great motivator to win for our Chinese fans.

"I had never been here before and am really enjoying it. I really hadn't been expecting anything quite like it.

"I've seen so many supporters, it's great fun and this is a wonderful country, where football is a very popular sport."

There has been rumours Sneijder has suffered a break down in his relationship with Inter boss Gian Piero Gasperini after being asked to play in a deeper position.

The former Real Madrid player has dismissed this, but has confessed his favourite manager is Jose Mourinho, who led Inter to a famous Treble in 2009/10.

He said: "I've played for many coaches and each one has been different from the others, but Jose Mourinho is still the one I liked best both as a coach and as a man."

misleading headline, he didn't say anything about ignoring those rumours.

I think if something is going to happen, it's going to happen sometime between after this cup final thing and the end of the transfer window.

/boring obvious comment that makes me an ITK.

To be fair, not saying anything about the rumours is a reasonable definition of 'ignoring them'!

It'll be interesting to see what happens when he's in England next week for the friendly..

There was no formal offer, so it's Wesley's natural reaction to that kind of speculations... From what I can see, he's focused on rebuilding his form before the upcoming season and he's doing what's best for him.

Everything is in the hands of Sir Alex and he's distanced to the case, too.

Big Nothing to be honest. :)

Inter Milan legend, Sandro Mazzola, unsure if the Nerazzurri can still compete with clubs other top though will not be reinforced by Wesley Sneijder, who will likely move to Manchester United this summer.

Last week disclosed that Sneijder are interested to join the crew of United at Old Trafford, but the deal delayed because of problems of salary transfer to be received Sneijder.

In response, Inter reportedly willing to negotiate the issue, and Mazzola also feel if Sneijder will soon be docked at Old Trafford in the near future.

"I'm sure that Sneijder had to get pretty good deals from Manchester United, and now he is being evaluated," said Mazzola at Goal.

"I also feel if Inter can still move forward without Sneijder, though she performed extremely well last season. He can go from the Giuseppe Meazza, and it is very possible," he explained.

Earlier, Manchester United legend, Eric Cantona, has expressed his hope if the Premier League giants may soon realize Sneijder's move from Inter, and reveals that the pattern of Sneijder game so much like him.

Mazzola played for Inter in mid-1960 to 1977, and former striker Il Biscione is already twice lifted the European Cup championship trophy while Inter are still ditukangi by Helenio Herrera and played in three World Cup along with the Italian national team.

Huh?

Inter Milan manager Gian Piero Gasperini: "Sneijder doesn't want to play in this match (Supercoppa)? That is truly news to me. The reality is that until now there has been no movement and we are here to play our matches, independent from everything else."

Is he saying Sneijder doesn't want to play or the media are saying he doesn't but Sneijder hasn't told him that?

A Sky journalist made a good point (in my opinion): Inter have not convinced Sneijder that they want him to stay; in fact, their clumsy but cryptic hints that they'll listen to offers might have persuaded Wes that, a year after helping Inter to win the treble, he's now expendable and unwanted.

They have said numerous times that they want to keep him, what else are they supposed to do? They won't offer him improved deal because financially it's already probably as high as it could be.

I just randomly clicked a page in the Berbatov thread and the amount of wumming people got away with back then was hilarious
