Weird feelings of football

The U.S. only produce goalkeepers of which there is a minimum of 3 in the premiership every year

Hulk is only good when you are not watching the match

What a goal ...

Darren Ambrose has scored from outside the box in every match he has ever played against us.

Neither Real Madrid or Barcelona have ever played a match in daylight.

If a corner, free-kick or throw-in is awarded controversially it always results in a goal.

Zlatan has scored more goals from heel flicks, volleys, overhead kicks and other unusual finishing techniques than regular shots.

I still feel like teams like Coventry, Sheffield Wednesday are premier league teams even though they've been gone for years.

This one is probably true, not weird at all!

Matthew Taylor and David Nugent have been playing PL/Championship football since the turn of the century, yet were both around 28 years old in 2002. They only score ridiculous goals (half-way volleys, very unorthodox screamers etc.) & seem to make a few appearances for Bolton/Portsmouth every season, regardless of which club they are actually playing for at the minute. Most of all, they are also the same person.

Nathan Dyer and Wayne Routledge are the same person

Players that return to clubs where they were young stars always score on their debuts.

They also usually fade back into obscurity straight after, something I'd expect Zaha to do.

Hamburg was relegated last season.

Every country has a football team named Red Bull.

El Clasico is always played at night time.

We always play our games against City and Liverpool at day time.

No matter what happens, Arsenal always finish 4th on the league table.

No matter what happens, Porto always somehow seem to get in Pot 1 every year in CL.

Whenever I check Arsenal's live scores they are losing, when I switch to watch the game they come to life and win.

Burnley and Blackpool are the same team

All black English players are speed merchants (a lot of them are mixed too, Walcott, Lennon, Chamberlain, Ashley Cole, Gibbs, Richardson,)

Also, every black player named Kieran or Kieron is also a speed merchant (Gibbs, Richardson, Dyer)

Tottenham are a team of midfielders and goalkeepers, they couldn't care less about forwards and defenders

All American goalkeepers who have played in the EPL have had at least one incredible game against United

Ronaldo and David Beckham are the only United players that have sold for more than 25 Million

The Europa League is always won by either Sevilla, Porto, or Atletico.

Every player who came to the Premier League from the Serie A has been shit.

  • Robert Snodgrass doesnt actually play for anybody, just sneaks into lower league teams starting XI/Cup games and scores against us
  • UTV have never aired an entertaining game of football in its existance
  • When Steve McMananaman is a pundit at one of our games, we will play awful
  • Gianluggi Buffon has been 32 since 1998 and has not played for Juventus since the 2003 champions league final
  • Hulk has never had a good game thats been televised
  • Chelsea have never signed an english player
  • Every Serie A legend from 1991-1995 had a stint at Chelsea in the 97/98 season
  • Every lower league team in the PL in the early 90s had a player named Sinclair in there team
  • Real Madrid have a clear out every season of players that would instantly improve our Starting XI but we will never sign any (a week too late)
  • Every england player who is over 25 and has under 10 caps has a quality bird
  • Jermaine defoe will always be subbed on in the second half and score two goals but find himself on the subs bench the next week for a striker who never scores
  • Every english team tried to play like Barcelona in 2011 and was claimed to have a "unique" style of play
  • Paulo Ferreira still plays for Chelsea
  • Every player Man United released from there youth academy will come back to haunt us
  • Every ex United striker will score against Man City
  • Antonio Valencia has ever not had his jersey tucked in
  • Every player to ever wear his jersey tucked in was rubbish
  • Every player to ever wear tapped wrists has been a winger
  • Whenever United play at a stadium with loud/hostile support, we will buckle and lose
  • Nemanja Vidic was the only player capable of heading a ball at United from 2009 onwards
  • Dimitar Berbatov will piss you off for a whole game, but will have a world class touch at some point in the game and all will be forgotten

 Both are so true.

  • It is forbidden, by law, to be called up to the Polish international squad unless your surname ends in 'ski'. Similarly, there are laws forbidding any Croatian international players' surnames ending in anything other than 'ic' (pronounced itch).
  • 85% of Tottenham's possession is passing the ball along the half way line and going absolutely nowhere. The other 15% is picking the ball out of the net and kicking off.
  • If a defender is good going forward he is automatically seen as a great defender, despite evidence showing this individual is truly dreadful at defending the goal. See David Luiz, Gerard Pique and most of the current 'top' full backs.
  • Roy Hodgson is a Southampton season ticket holder.
  • Mark Hughes has managed 17 out of the 20 current premier league clubs.

Adebayor only exists in the very beggining and very end of seasons

Flamini gives away a foul every 6 minutes on average.

Spurs' pitch is a mile wide. Furthermore, the centre backs are always ridiculously high up the pitch and wide apart.

There are far more cruciate ligament injuries nowadays than there used to be.

AC Milan can't decide which badge they want to use and switch between the classic and modern every other year.

Chris Smalling has never played the ball into the path of a players run. It's always where the player is standing as Smalling kicks it, causing said runner to backtrack.

Newcastle have been in constant turmoil ever since the days when Bobby Robson was their manager and Shearer still played for them.

Sunderland have been in a relegation dogfight every season for the last 10-15 years.

For the past 8 years, Arsenal always finish 4th, qualify for the Champions league, only then to inevitably be knocked out in the 2nd round stage of the competition by the first real great team they come up against.

At the end of every season, Dortmund's 'player of the season' moves to Bayern.

This, and the aggregate scoreline will always be very tight and Arsenal will miss at least one sitter that would have taken them through on away goals.

- Peterborough have never stayed in 1 division for more then a year, just go between League 1 and the Championship very year.
- Every time a team concedes more then 5 goals the Goalkeeper is always said to be the best player on the pitch as , it could have easily been 10.

Every transfer window the media and the fans spend 3 months saying Man Utd need a world class midfielder, and they always sign a world class striker instead.

Is this your opinion ?

No, its just my gut instinct over the last few years of watching them play. I don't think there's any objective accuracy about it. It could caused by a combination of things; The Mancini era, their record in the champions league, having powerful players like Yaya Toure and Dzeko scoring really important goals for them against the run of play etc.

I have to say I disageee , when Silva and Nasri are in full flow they are fantastic to watch.
