Weird feelings of football

Osasuña is a ghost team. They have been in La Liga from 2000 to 2014 but no one has any idea of what their kit, stadium looks like

The great Barcelona was from 08/09 to 11/12. The great united was from 06/07 to 08/09.They could win the CL next year and they won the domestic double last season so the cycle is still going. It is too early for you to say such a thing.

Agree - it was a three year cycle for that team, ending with Ronaldo departing.

The final in 2007 should have been United v Chelsea, one year ahead of schedule. Instead it was contested by two inferior teams who were also rans in their league and took advantage of tired opponents.

It was a strange night at the Bridge but they showed in Rome and over the next couple of years that they were a great team. As opposed to the opportunism of the two so so teams who contested the 2007 final.

Players in Italy and in Eastern European leagues don't wear shirt numbers lower than 50

You're great at these.

Actually decided to check out what their kit does look like. Had a vague idea in my head that it's yellow, maybe blue. Brilliantly, google don't seem to know either!

John Terry will always be in the Champions League Team of the Season, even if Chelsea are competing in the Europa League.

Sergio Ramos will either score, get sent off or make an error directly leading to a goal being conceded by his team in every game.

James Milner has been playing in the Premier League since 2000 and hasn't aged in this time period

No matter who, Porto can will a profit of at least 15 million euros on anybody they resell.

Beckham is the only english player to leave the island in the last 30 years.

Used to be true until 1 year ago: Whenever Schweinsteiger and van Buyten are on the field, Schweini will always run into van Buyten during an enemy corner and cause a goal that way.

Arminia Bielefeld isn't a real team from a city that doesn't actually exist.

The real-life value of a player will rise by an order of magnitude if they have good potential in the most recent FIFA game.

Any half decent player nearing retirement is a legend.

Aaron Lennon is still a good young prospect.

That every other week Celtic are playing either Aberdeen, Inverness or Dundee.

Mark van Bommel has never been booked in his career despite committing a red card offense in every match.

There is a Brazilian striker playing in every obscure league in the world.

Every time Liverpool were in a crisis under Houllier, Benitez or Hodgson they'd play us and the crisis would end.

Every coach United ever had with a sexy foreign name was a brilliant, progressive, tactical mastermind, while every British coach was a useless yes-man who was only good at putting out cones.

(Not my personal feeling but it's definitely a sentiment I've noticed among many fans)

Every goalkeeper for average international teams is guaranteed to make dozens of gravity defying saves at international tournaments before completely vanishing off earth forever once they're knocked out.

Yep, this applies to pretty much every African keeper. Vincent Enyeama, Richard Kingson, Boubacar Barry, etc.

Plus Rafa always got the better of Mou in the CL. Lovely stuff...

Every time a comment of mine is quoted I notice a bloody annoying autocorrect error

The Mexican keeper, Ochoa, was who I had in mind here.

I think it happens a lot to outfield players too; remember Tshabalala? The South African who scored an incredible opening goal to the 2010 World Cup, not heard of since.

Hoffeheim is still playing somewhere in German Regionaliga (4th division?).

All the defenders that ever played for us were injury prone.

The Osasuna one is brilliant. I was like, nah c'mon their kit is... shit, What the hell is Osasuna

Whenever National teams play (doesn't matter which two teams) when people comment on it, it will be like 6 different matches took place where the worst player on the pitch was also somehow the best and that while one team dominated, they apparently did nothing

Stoke have never played a home game that wasn't in rainy conditions.

Every player has been at either Leeds or Southampton at some point in their career.

When Chelsea was founded, John Obi Mikel just appeared and stayed ever since.

Fulham is still in the PL.

Every year, there is at least one team in the Euro League from a made-up city.

Italian teams swap their managers around every couple of months.

Every top-flight manager in Italy has had spells at Inter, Milan, Juventus (twice), Napoli and Roma, as well as managing the national team.

What are some feelings you have about football, that aren't necesarily 100% true, but seem that way
Every Ligue 1 match on television involves PSG playing either Lorient or Evian

feck man, this is scaring me already...

So it is true after all. La Liga is just a 2 team league.

What are some feelings you have about football, that aren't necesarily 100% true, but seem that way

For instance :

Czech Republic national team ceased to exist

It never rains in Camp Nou

Pirlo has been 34 years old since 2008

Villareal doesn't have an away kit

Every Ligue 1 match on television involves PSG playing either Lorient or Evian

Borussia always beats Bayern in the begining of the season, but it ends up being a cake walk for Munich

No matter what is the situation, Dzeko will score in the last 5 minutes of the game

Lyon didn't participate in the 2013/14 season

All Portuguese strikers look the same and are average

Every player from Ecuador is fast

Werder Bremen and Wolfsburg are the same team

Ahh.. enough.. Keep going!

United always lose their first game in a new blue shirt...and we play Sunderpoznan on sunday :(

Japan is a future football powerhouse.

Bayern score with every 400th corner they take.
