Weird feelings of football

Jamie Vardy is only 24, lives in a council estate and hangs about with a group of mates on a street corner.

There's a four week window in which we play Villa at home every year:

15th April 2012 (4-0)
22nd April 2013 (3-0)
29th March 2014 (4-1)
4th April 2015 (3-1)
16th April 2016 (1-0)

and we always play a big game between 17th and 24th september.

22nd sept 2013 City (1-4)
23rd sept 2012 Liverpool (2-1)
18th sept 2011 Chelsea (3-1)
19th sept 2010 Liverpool (3-2)
20th sept 2009 City (4-3)
21st sept 2008 Chelsea (1-1)
23rd sept 2007 Chelsea (2-0)
17th sept 2006 Arsenal (0-1)
18th sept 2005 Liverpool (0-0)
20th sept 2004 Liverpool (2-1)
21st sept 2003 Arsenal (0-0)

This season we had Southampton on the 20th but we played Liverpool the weekend before (12th sept) and last season we lost 3-5 to Leicester on the 21st so maybe the curse has been lifted :nervous:

Arjen Robben has his football shirts independently tailored to be as tight as possible.

Whenever you see La Liga results, Getafe have been pumped 6-1 by either Real or Barca.

Fulham ceased to exist after relegation from the Premier League.

Gianluigi Buffon, who has just been given a new contract by Juventus and is being reported by the BBC as 38, is in fact 57 years old.

United always have a ridiculously tough fixture around the 23rd to 28th of October

25/10/15 Man City (h)
26/10/14 Chelsea (h)
28/10/12 Chelsea (a)
23/10/11 Man City (h)
25/10/09 Liverpool (a)
25/10/08 Everton (a)

All London clubs will eventually play at different coloured Emirates stadiums.

The worst part is that there are two Moussa Dembeles in the Premier League.

Actually, there's Moussa Dembele at Fulham (in the Championship) and Mousa Dembele at Spurs (in the Premiership), but not (as far as I'm aware) any Moussa Dembeles in the Premiership.

Manchester United are always the last team to officially unveil a new home kit.

These two chaps clapping sounds like 75,000 people clapping

Seemingly every Italian centre back ever is 30+

And they haven't had a flair player or goalscorer worthy of the name since Del Piero or Totti

Liverpool renew 50%+ of their entire first team squad every transfer window.

Yes, their last great striker was Luca Toni

Could you describe him? :D
What's there to describe. Every time I see the French national team starting XI, I'd think to myself that if Verratti were not injured, France would completely destroy the other team. I thought the same thing in France's first game against Romania and I've been doing it for a few years now. That feeling just doesn't go away.

You're confusing with another player.

Verratti plays with Paris but he is Italian. But you're right to think he was often injured this season!!

No, I meant him. That's why it's called "The Weird feelings of football" right ? Feelings you can't help but think are true, but are actually not. I know Verratti is Italian, but every time, I think about the French team, I'd naturally bring him into it somehow. Dunno why, just happens with me :(.

I used to think Sirigu was French for the same reason.

And you're used to think Matuidi was Congolese

On a more serious note, my knowledge of the EPL players is limited as far as I'm concerned but we all improve here

Oh! Sorry! I thought it was the Verratti thread!

Lassana Diarra is still 31 years old despite being 31 years old when he played for Portsmouth a million years ago.
