Television We didn't all go to Gudger College

Wiggum (if I don't specify which I get two for one)
Hutz
Sideshow Bob

Bob wasn't in many episodes, but the ones he was in were all great.

Not enough love for that wiener kid Milhouse in here.

Milhouse's parents are amazing too

I remember during the first airing of who shot Mr Burns, there was an 'investigation' style episode done by Fox (I think) before the second part of the episode was shown. I've been trying to find it ever since, it was pretty well done at the time I thought.

Millhouse is so underrated & his dad

Moe, Lenny & Carl, Sideshow Bob also some the best.

Marge: "Hahaha, you got the dud!"
Homer: "Haha, hey! He looks just like you Poindexter!"
Bart: "How come Lisa doesn't have to play, hoe come she gets to hang out with her friends?"
Homer: "You got friends, you got the dud right here. Stand up for yourself, poindexter!"

Saw this classic the other night, can't find a pic but it's from Apu appearing at the window.

Homer: Oh, but Marge, am I doomed to spend the rest of my life sweating like a pig?
Bart: Yeah, not to mention looking like a pig, eating like a pig
Apu: Don't forget the smell!
Homer: Will you get off my front lawn?
Apu: Why don't you make me!

Been watching a few old classics that appeared on TV over the last few days. Homer versus New York and 22 short films about Springfield. Two of my favourite episodes.

Even the worst episodes back then are way better than the current new episodes.

I know you can read MY thoughts boy...

"meow, meow, meow, meow..."
haha great ep.

RIP to Sam Simon, only 59

The co-creator of the hit animated show, The Simpsons, has died at age 59.

Sam Simon had been battling colon cancer, his agent said on Monday.

Simon won seven Emmy awards for his work as a writer, director and executive producer for the longest-running sitcom on American television

An animator of The Simpsons has paid tribute to co-creator Sam Simon who has died at the age of 59.

David Silverman, who has worked on The Simpsons since 1987 and directed the Simpsons Movie, has said that Sam Simon was "totally important" and involved in the cartoon "from the very beginning". Characters he created included Mr. Burns and Bleeding Gums Murphy.

Mr Silverman said although his death had not come as a surprise because of his battle with colon cancer,"it still hits us".

Fellow Simpsons producer Al Jean, tweeted "a great man; I owe him everything,"

Been following his brave, long battle with cancer via twitter. Seemed like a brilliant guy. Thanks for all the good times, Sam.

There's a theory that the 'Flaming Moe' episode was about the creation of the Simpsons (Simon's being Homer and Groening being Moe). Which would be interesting and maybe has so truth to it as I've only recently found out that Simon played a huge part in the Simpsons and turning it from a couple of cartoon sketches into one of the greatest(In my option the greatest) tv of all time.

Plus he came up with the Mr Burns design.

Very interesting, will have to read that thread on NHC about it.

It could be total rubbish but I did find it strange when listening to the commentary's how different Groening view on certain aspects of the show were to the writers(Groening was always worried about the show going overboard and not staying grounded in the real world), still it's a best just a theory.

Also good interview with Simon's interview with Marc Maron - http://www.wtfpod.com/podcast/episodes/remembering_sam_simon.

For all those that might care...season 23 isn't a terrible embarrassment like so many before. Some good stuff there, but still, not like first seasons.

Gaga episode is all that's left to see in that season. :D

But yeah, didn't find it as bad as some earlier seasons. Homer isn't mentally challenged asshole, Bart is not an evil cnut as often...dunno, maybe my standards got lowered a bit.

Kind of sad that the shit seasons probably outnumber the great seasons at this stage.

Almost by double. :(

I liked bits of Season 23, and also Season 24.

I also thought Season 25 was pretty good overall, and I've like nearly every episode of Season 26 so far. Pretty consistent.

All of the above are much better than the late teen & early twenty seasons, which were an abomination.

The only modern episode I remember liking was the one about school zonings with the Javier Bardem character from No Country for Old Men. Had some really cool animation and some genuine laughs.

Starting April 2nd here in Australia one channel is showing the Simpsons all day for 21 days. Look forward to re-watching some classic episodes.

Double? So it's only either great or shit? The current season has been quite good. Last season was decent.

For me it's one of TV's funniest moments. Homer's watch and when Marge asks Bart how Homer's project is coming along, and you see Homer in the background with the umbrella. Never fails to crack me up.
