Ronaldo and Messi earn £300k net of taxes, as that is how they report it in Spain.

That's over £600k gross.

Double Rooney. Rightly so, of course.
 
We are going to be miles off the title with our current attack. Rooney is miles past his best, Memphis is the most over hyped youngster ever, Young was good last season but isnt a great player, Mata is a good player but isnt a winger and lacks pace and power. Our attack is actually shockingly average the more I think about it.

LVG playing players out of position doesnt help either.

The difference a Sanchez would make to this team is remarkable.
 
I'm not sure what one star player could do in a team playing how we do. Star players tend to shine when involved in quick attacking football.
 
Martial can be that guy. In fact he's done a brilliant job at it so far. Let down by the team/manager today.

Very much this. I would also dare to say that Schweinsteiger was a warrior out there while there were many out there who don't have his drive regardless of the scoreline.
 
Our star acquisitions haven't worked out (Di Maria, Falcao etc). I'm sure we will buy another top player next summer, but that's all speculation at this point.
 
I don't buy this. We lack a world class dribbler from midfield though
 
I think we have that in Martial, regardless of his age. I think we lack a playmaker, someone who can set him up.
Mata is too busy trying to set himself up.

Di Maria - Needs freedom, is inconsistent with his passing, doesn't fit LvG philosophy.

Falcao - Injury destroyed him.

RvP worked out, those two players have reason for why they didn't work out.
