We are an awfully coached team

We're going nowhere with Ole. The problem is, I don't think the people in charge are that interested in us actually winning trophies and challenging for titles. He'll be kept on long after our season is ruined.

What a shit performance at Leicester, again. The defence all over the place, players like Sancho not driving forward as they should. Coaches ruining him.

Sad how we as a club are happy to waste season after season on managers who have proven to not be good enough.

There is zero point to this season. We're winning diddly-squat this year, we're not going to play good stuff, and Ole will see the season out. Absolutely pointless.

Holy smoke - love him as our player but absolutely hating him as our coach.
He is so slow to read the situation on the field - Matic was out of it by 65th minute and we completely lost control of the midfield. He waited until Leicester had zillion shots on goal and scored to sub Matic out.
This guy needs to go.

On a serious note in the last two home league games he played Mctominay & Fred together. In the champions league game vs Villarreal in between he played Mctominay alone while today he played Matic alone in a tough away game . No one can genuinely make any sense of his decisions

Really struggling to defend Ole, something has to change and it could easily be him.

As much as I hate player power and think it's a dangerous slippery slope, I'm afraid you're right. That's what it's going to take for Woodward or Joel to pull the trigger.
Solskjaer has done a good job to improve us after Mourinho.....no one can deny that.

But this squad must win trophies.....it will never happen under Solskjaer.

This squad can play better football.....it will never happen under Solskjaer.

We have bought Ronaldo, Varane and Sancho for what???? Another EL campaign or to reach the CL with the 4th place.

Ronaldo is here to win trophies!!!!!!!!

Therefore player power is right and must happen now!!!!!

For me, this was the final nail in the coffin... we've been totally awful this season. Even the games we won...
Zidane is available, right?

He needs more time... in the coaching academy and away from a proper football squad.

At least the cracks are no longer being papered over. Win, lose or draw, it’s been this bad for ages. There’s no one at the wheel.

Everyone knows we aren't well coached. None of our rivals would want our manager. I'd argue that none of the top 8 would want Ole and his coaching staff.
Great way to inverse the situation. If I were a fan of a top 4-6 side, do I think the United coaching staff improve my chances of finishing higher. The answer is probably no.
Would there be at least 5 players from United I'd love to have on my team? Definitely.

There's nothing worse than feeling I was more happy during the international break not having to watch this shit than being happy with United back to play football. The 2 weeks of international break feel like God sent for me nowadays.

We aren't coached at all.

His concept of tactics appears to be pick a formation and switch players out like-for-like and hope for the best. No game management and completely passive. Even the substitutions are the same each game.

Worst coached team in the league and easily the worst coached ‘big’ club in Europe. It’s just going to keep getting worse as the players start giving up and moments of magic stop coming.

How an elite sports team can’t do the basics as often as us is unbelievable, it’s just getting to the stupid stage now to be honest. Why play it out of the back with our shite record, how many goals do we have to give away before we stop. If we can’t do it then don’t.

The overall passing of this team is a joke, short passes are shocking, we are a bigger danger to ourselves then the teams we play.

We have no identity at all. We are not an attacking possession team nor are we a defensive counter attacking team. We are just like a managerless five aside pub team doing what they want.

Sack OGS now...he is so out of his depth it's painful to watch...when in hell is he going to see that a midfield of 2 slow clumbersome midfielders in Pogba and Matic with Bruno not doing much defensive work is never going to work...Tilemans was running the show the whole game and looked twice the player than any of our midfield...Pogba was so fecking lazy and careless he should have been pulled of at halftime...Maguire has just been horrible all season..when Tuchel took over from Lampard at Chelsea you did see án instant effect of getting a high class manager...it's time to send OGS back to Norway....there is no plan..no vision..no workrate..no United

Disjointed to phuck and no phucking bollocks shown.

The whole team, players and management (except one or two) play and react as if they've been laced with phucking valium.

Phucked off.

Manchester United and Newcastle United are the worst coached teams in the league, and I don't think anyone could really argue against it. That's the sad part. We must identify a new manager, and I hope the club is doing that right now.

This is right, we aren't coached at all. The thread title needs to be updated. @bond19821982

Tbf, I don't think, there were many blatant mistakes by Ole apart from starting Maguire who doesn't seem to be fit at all. The rest is down to individual mistakes. The issues stem from the fact of what he seemingly didn't do for the last 3 years. Giving this team some structure. Something to rely on on days like that.

We have been outplayed today by a Leicester side, that wasn't in great form at all... It is concerning. I am not for sacking him, it would only disrupt stuff badly. But we seriously have to start planning the future.

I’m surprised that bit when he took off a central midfielder and replaced him with a central midfielder in the 81st minute wasn’t the catalyst for our comeback into the game. Can’t deny he rolled the dice there

Out of form teams are probably looking at their calendars for when they face us next to kick start their season.

It's so basic. No pressing, no style in attack. It's like when I'm playing Championship Manager 1997, just pick the team, spend heavily and press play.

Football has moved on from DNA charlatans like this, he isn't qualified for this job. You need more than some stories on how this club is different.

The scary thing is, utd have not played one of the so called big 6 yet and its this bad already.

will probably get a result against liverpool and do the usual.

This current form is as bad as it gets. Very poor

Our players need to take so many touches to look/wait for their nearby team mate to make a simple pass. There is no style of play, system, team work, whatsoever.

Even our counter attacking was so disjointed. We usually run out of option to pass forward which slow down the whole bloody counter attack play.

It DOES take individual brilliance to win us games. The first was a brilliant individual finish by Greenwood and the second was two moves. A good over the top pass from Lindelof and then a very good finish by Rashford to score. Of course we lost the game because Ole took off our only midfield player and put on McTominay. Maybe Matic was too tired but surely in a game where we need to control a midfield you put on someone like DVB who can move the ball and not someone like McTominay?
Puppets the whole lot of them. They are laughing all the way to the bank.

One of the most infuriating things is when our forwards get the ball. The default (if not only) plan seems to be to run with it and try to do something brilliant. Of course they tend to lose it quickly cos that's not how football is played at the top level. And we just rinse and repeat and on it goes. There's only so many worldies you can conjure playing that way.

I remember reading through this topic a couple of weeks ago and seeing quite a few people not only unwilling to accept we are the worst coached team in the league but also laughing at those who think this way and questioning if they are real fans or not. Well, you must be feeling very foolish now. Remember when you posted videos of some of the best players in the world stringing 5 passes together and saying: look, this has Ole/Carrick/Phelan/McKenna written all over it, coaching is not the problem. What absolute tosh!

Today was yet another in the long line of examples of how clueless the manager is and how pathetic our set up is. Are you fellas aware that we, Manchester United Football Club, are a decade behind in principles of play, patterns and strategies to the likes of Brentford and Brighton? Let's not even mention the likes of City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Leicester. Even Arsenal are ahead of us, but are lagging due to a slower team development and not as good quality of players.

I am ashamed watching United and find no joy in us winning as it only delays the correct decision - sacking the PE teacher and his mates, and employing a proper manager. By proper, I don't even mean top class, just someone who knows first thing about it.

Absolute shocker. Sir Alex should have a word with Ole and tell him to gracefully pack his stuff and leave. If that doesn't work, then hopefully Fletcher has some influence in the backstage and can convince the owners and money-oriented board the clown that is Ole needs to go - now!

On Stretford Paddock they were talking about the Matic potentially being some sort of gamble and that they probably wouldn't have subbed him knowing we would score the equalizer. Ifs and buts at the end of the day. I don't think, that this sub had any meaning to be honest. We weren't playing well with Pogba and Matic, don't know if Matic dragged down Pogba or the other way around. Seeing the game, he should have brought on Lingard way earlier to take Tielemans out of the game. Which I somehow expected Bruno to do at least to some degree. Its a shame Cavani wasn't available, maybe switching to a 2 striker system would have changed something.

There are situations, when one play receives the ball, looks up, dribbles towards a player to then pass it to him... It is infuriating to watch indeed. Just wasting time with no won space whatsoever. But, this unfortunately happens, when your players a) don't have some sort of plan where to be when or b) aren't in form and the same wavelength... Which is the case with Sancho not really acclimatizing to the league and Bruno and Ronaldo sort of struggling a bit.

Our balance is extremely off. Might even consider having Lingard in the starting lineup only for his runs and workrate only. And prayers that Rashford will continue his 2020 edition that was happy to create and facilitate for others (instead of the 2021 edition that was often running into blind alleys).

Such emotion driven things led us to where we are. There is absolute nothing to be gained with just abandoning the ship in a storm. The smart and responsible thing for the club to do is work on solutions, evaluate candidates, making contacts, talk about somewhat of a 3-5 year plan. The club should be ready to change things if Ole doesn't come out successfull from these adversities but just getting rid to take a manager that might be available right now is shortthinking and exactly the thing, we should avoid.
