You seem to be saying Rooney has already done enough things in midfield to be better than Morgan or Herrera. How did you come up with that?
Without trying to sound too harsh on Schneiderlin or Herrera, that run he made against Palace in the final was pretty much worth more than their entire seasons. Herrera had regressed massively in the season just gone to the point where id say Rooney is comfortably better than him. It's the same with Schneiderlin.

The Rooney agenda on here is actually enough to make you question the whole integrity of the forum. Bandwagon jumping from so many people it's ridiculous.

What's happening to our captain?

There's having more money than sense but a man in his 30's getting cosmetic surgery? Whatever about the hair, but botox injections into his forehead and some kind of eyebrow lift by the looks of it..

I always liked that he was proud of his working class background, and was looked as a tough player, a man you could respect amongst the diving, mewling quims that make up most teams. I'd hope for more from our captain.
If you ever want proof of an unnecessary agenda against Rooney.. Here it is. Who gives a fcuk what he does with his forehead

Agreed. Look only at the thread title. Rooney fans are fecking cluless.

Every criticism is an agenda with you guys but immortalising a player for every diagonal pass down the right isn't an agenda? Agenda this, agenda that. The word needs to be banned on all Rooney and Fellaini thread.

It's a bit odd that constructive criticism is so often labelled as either hate, an agenda, or scapegoating. That all implies people have a problem with him personally that goes beyond football, when in fact from what I can see the majority are criticising his ability as a footballer. Being one of those who is critical of Rooney I find it incredibly grating when I read drivel about it being Rooney hate or an agenda against him.

And since Rooney did nothing, I fail to understand your opinion.

Really you've picked the 3 goal scorers and this is the basis you go by? Sturridge wasn't great last night on his first full game this tourni yet he's been better than Rooney who has play two good games? What kind of logic is this?

And when you play the game of opinions, you win or you die.

Have no idea what your meaning sorry. I just give my honest opinion but seems to me there is a few with an agenda and they will only give Rooney begrudgingly minor plaudits no matter what. The lads played well two games and nothing great the sub appearance yet cue an on slot of negative opinions on him.

He looks like Gerard used to look when asked to play alongside Lampard for England in a midfield two.

On the ball you get convinced he's doing something. Then you see him picking the ball up off the defenders, then he's wide, then he's an auxillary forward, then he looks like a standard ten, then he's back stopping an attack down the right. He gets dragged around everywhere.

He has zero tactical discipline. That was apparent under Ferguson.

He has a skill set. If you can find room in a team for him that plays to his strengths, you'll get solid performances and a few moments of magic. But he moves away from areas that he could be threatening. He NEEDS the ball. he goes hunting for it.

This England side cannot afford to have him doing that. Unless that is Hodgsons plan I guess. Would be an odd call though.

some good observations.

I didn't talked about goals, you are making up a logic.

True definition of the noun agenda as follows:

C1 a list of matters to be discussed at a meeting:There were several important items on the agenda. The question of security is high on the agenda for this afternoon'smeeting.
list of aims or possible future achievements:Women's rights have been put back on the agenda (= are beingdiscussed publicly again). The subject of safety needs to be placed high on/at the top of the agenda (= must be discussed because it is very important).Education was placed firmly on the political agenda in the primeminister's weekend speech.

I don't know what's relevant to you or you own relationship with cosmetic surgery but I think it's ridiculous. He represents us as a club off the pitch as well as on it. To me he should be more concerned with his own performances than the feckin shape of his eyebrows or the wrinkles in his forehead, he's been nowhere near worth the stupid amount of wages he's been receiving since he held us to ransom. I have a feeling he's allowing himself to be distracted by some publicist or his wife trying to get more women's magazine column inches.

Can you imagine Roy Keane, Paul Scholes, Vidic, even Gary Neville ever acting like this? Proper men, proper leaders of the club and an example of professionalism that young players can look up to. Sir Alex knew exactly how to deal with Becks when his wife and the showbiz and fashion world get their claws into him and it took precedence over his football. If Rooney is going the same way he should be told to head off to LA or Paris and he can get all the face lifts and male breast augmentations that he wants.

The amount of knee jerking on this thread is unbelievable. He comes on for about half an hour against a team with ten men in the box, and two strikers making no space for themselves to aim at and he's suddenly shite again. The fact that people are going are far as to to say fecking Smalling (who has been well below average) has had a better Euros than him is incredible.
Let's have it right, Rooney is not a "world class" centre mid and he never will be, but he is a good one and in the right set up he can be a very good one. He shouldn't be depended on to create all your chances because he's not that type of player, but alongside a more defensive and more attack minded midfielder Rooney will be able to do well for United. He can go from box to box looking for the ball and get it to the wingers consistently, which is now suddenly a bad thing despite Modric, Kroos, Verrati and the likes doing it on a regular basis.
Long story short is Rooney a midfield general? No. Is he shite? No. Is he good enough for United given the current state we're in? Yes he most definitely is.

Welcome mediocrity. Is this what we now aspire to as a club? To at best take away fourth spot from Arsenal's grasp?

I think he should be looking his money back.....like putting lipstick on a pig.

Yes, that's what I wrote that we want to be the next Arsenal.

Ah c'mon, fer Christ's sake...Wayne gets a lot of horrible, unfair stick about his appearance, so it's hard to blame him for trying to improve it. And please, let's not start talking about how Keano eats selfie-sticks for breakfast and how Vidic won't even go to a hairdressers because that would be unmanly & against the United Way.

Vidic was so manly that he just looked in the mirror and yelled at his hair to get off his head, and it obliged.

There's no chance that he had a mirror - far too girly.

Hahaha grow up mate, society is progressing and so are players, if he wants to feel better about himself by trying to improve his appearance then so be it. "Proper men" what does that even mean? What he does in his private time has no effect on his performance. Its like accusing someone is in poor form because he likes to play golf in his spare time.

As an ambassador of Manchester United and the face of the club Wayne should have the dignity to go bald gracefully, like Sir Bobby did, and then put up with spotty herberts like me shouting "Hey, baldy!" at him all the time. He's letting down the club by denying us this regular explosion of wit from the sidelines, the selfish twit.

In this week's OMGZ Celebs! Magazine:

Wayne Rooney on tanning your poodle, and how to get those pesky ladders out of your best tights
He's gone too far now. Clayton Blackmore would be turning over on his sunbed.

Yes, that's what I wrote that we want to be the next Arsenal.

Your recipe for accommodating Rooney in midfield role would most probably result in such way unless Tottenham, City and Arsenal enter administration. Actually I have to correct myself. We would probably tussle for 3rd.

However I do agree in general with your last post on previous page. All our midfielders look bad atm, that is from end of last season's perspective, except for Carrick who won't get any younger.

The frame was made from the bones of a Lion he killed with his pinky and the glass was from an armored humvee!
I heard that's a misunderstanding and that he actually looks at his reflection in a river while he drowns a lion with his bare hands. The glass from the armoured humvee is his breakfast.

Maybe he's hiding it under his wig?
