unfortunately had to spend most of the night defending...as did everyone else. was exhausted.
Eh? Rooney's played a very similar role in the past in Europe, like in the Camp Nou, 2008/09 when Ronaldo was moved central etc.
He's a victim of his own versatility.Yes correct. Ronaldo was our best player then.
Rooney is our best attacking player now. He's better than Kagawa for starters.

the shite clinging to rvp's arsehairs have more ability than rooney.
now that we have a genuine top player in attack again (rvp) like we did when we had ronaldo, rooney is best served being out wide as the donkey.
no shame in it btw, sammy eto'o (a better forward/striker than rooney) did it for inter when they won the treble.

When he's put under pressure from the opposition he usually struggles, especially with his touch and ability to get free from people. He didn't have a second on the ball to do anything of note.
I agree.
I thought he was rubbish, didn't look fit to me. He ran a lot, but he didn't close players down at speed, and when he did close them down they were walking past him with ease.
It's weird the way his touch goes so bad when he's not in form.

He was pushed back by Coentrao while Welbeck was relatively free on the other side because Ramos wasn't getting forward as much. That's why so much of the play went through Danny today. I was kind of surprised they weren't on opposite sides of the pitch, but you can't argue with the result.
Give him a break lads since Tottenham he's been working his bollocks off every 3 days or so and played well, it showed tonight.
Aye it's been 6 games in 18 days for Rooney.
Ramos played as CB, not fullback .
Didn't play his best so he's a fat non-league player again, yeah?
Sorry, I meant Arbeloa.
