Even Neville saying he hasn't looked right in the last couple of months.

We'll see what his reasons are for handing in a transfer request. The slating will deservedly begin if it's for more money.

Well in Fergie. Obviously we arent going to say we are selling him as we want to get the best price possible.

Not really convinced that it will be a big loss frankly.

He won't be going. Interesting what Neville's saying, love how articulate he is.

Just needs to get his head straight, have a good summer off and he'll be back to his best again next season. We won't allow him to leave.

Interesting stuff from Neville there, basically telling him to get his head down.

Mark Lawerenson said something similar on the radio during the week, where's he gonna go, he needs to realise what he has, stop moaning and get on with it.

I hope he doesn't go but if he does he does.

Do we hate Rooney again then?

I don't get it, a couple years ago he wanted us to sign big names. We went and signed RVP and Kagawa and now he's not happy?

Nah. Why hate him? He's been a great player for us.

I suspect he wants to leave because of the way he's been used (or rather not used) this season.

Maybe he'll change his mind with a new manager at the helm. Maybe he won't.

I'd be disappointed if he left for anything other than footballing reasons but I wouldn't hate him.

The fat bastard.

The question is whether Fergie's retirement changes anything.

I'm not sure, on one hand it looks like the question was asked before he knew saf was going, but on the other refusing to play today sends a fairly clear message, if he's not in the squad for west brim I think that tells us something.

The question is why? If he genuinely feels he is done here and wants a new chllenge then fair play and good luck, if its about a bigger contract feck him.

At a guess, he is probbaly not happy about the position and role he has played in some matches

I cant see him staying now. Twice in three years? Lost half the fans in the last couple of years -- cant see any left after this week.

What a loss to management Nev is.

It's almost like Rooney has depression or bouts of it. I don't know, whatever is happening doesn't make sense.

Has the Rooney / Stretford PR machine been dealt a blow ? Ferguson just undercut all the gossip with a huge statement that seems to put the club in a good position. Same thing happened in 2010.

Did I miss something, did he actually refuse to play, crap if that's true, today of all days he should do whats right for the club that pays him a fortune each week.

Are we sure that he said that ?

I think Rooney would have been more insistent with a transfer request if Ferguson was staying. He didn't know about Ferguson's retirement when he made the request, so I think he might re-evaluate in the next few weeks.

Which is ironic considering he's in that situation Because we brought in new players, which is allegedly what he wanted rather than just a fat pay rise.

I wasn't being too serious with that, I can only hate him if he goes to City.

Give him the option of moving abroad if not he stays here. No way we should sell him to another premier league club. Really disappointed in Rooney for this, 2 transfer requests in 3 years is pathetic.
