vs Middlesboro

Why have Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Milan, Bayern Munich never made a move for Giggs?...a supreme player...surely better than a McManaman for instance?...a unique talent at his best in Europe?
The comfort zone home-boy mentality of course...Ryan Giggs J'accuse...the ultimate rolex wearing testimonial player on fantastic wages and easy come easy go attitude.

Maybe because they know our history shows that we never sell our best players.

this is our season...can we get the 2nd goal and kill off the game...1-0 against an average side at home?
Not convincing is it?

So I take it you have a source at OT who told you no one ever tried to buy Giggs? What a loan of nonsence. Really, this is just getting pathetic.

That's Paul Simon who guards the Arses' goal.

Yep. Their goalie.

After we won the Treble Real Madrid bid 40m quid for Becks and Giggs together. They ended up with Macmanaman instead. 40m is cheap by today's standards innit? 70m for the pair easy, nowadays. Of course, 40m was derisory even then.

What a feckin shite game and performance that was!

Player ratings:

Fab - 7
Micky - 7.5
Blanc - 7.5
Rio - 7.5
Phizza - 7
Butt - 5 (abysmal today)
Seba - 5.5
Giggs - 5.5
Becks - 5
Scholes - 5
Ruud - 5

Crap performance but the defence generally did well and the important thing is we won. We were awful though by all means.

<img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> paul simon is seaman's mini me minus beard growth and horsetail.

10 attempts, 3 on target. OK, but less than we have been doing. Inevitable against boro though.

giggs and veron had decent games IMO.

We've seemed to play too much to our opponents' level this season. Excepting the match against Zalaegerszeg, we've started okay then either been pegged back or sunk to the level of the team we've been playing.

Still, early days...

Defense has done well though, which is why we won this game whereas last season we would have drawn or lost.

I think you are too harsh on Utd today, Boro didn't exactly make it easy on us playing open football they just closed the game (not so smart to do when you are 1-0 down).
I do agree that our game after Boro started attacking a bit was not too good but for how long was that ?

And get on MSN ffs Amir won't have my rants anymore...
:(

They were ok but the whole midfield was generally abysmal.

Those little flick ons that work once in a blue moon is not a way to play the full 90 minutes.

We lack variety and options in our game. We end up losing too many stupid balls in midfield and hence create pressure on the defence/we don't manage to generate possession.

The players aren't making enough movement and with only one striker up front it's always going to be hard to make chances.

Ruud is clearly out of form and playing him up front with 2-3 men surrounding him every time he gets the ball doesn't help much.

The problems are not that serious as they are all a result of a number of players being off their game at the moment but still there are a few issues that need to be solved IMO (formation, style of play, etc).

Well every small team that comes to OT isn't really going to play an open game against us, they never have and never will so it's hardly a shock, is it?

We need to start to live with that.

they came to draw or keep the score down..

they didn't have any urgency in their game, even when one down....

anyway, we still need a forward that can dribble, to partener Ruud... scholes nor ole suit the second striker role, in a 4-5-1/4-4-1-1 formation.

We won't get one will January. Not a new one anyway. Anyone know if we can recall Danny Webber from loan outside a transfer window?

Rio was very good today and I thought Blanc had an excellent game as well (Micky too).

Well the lad will certainly add pace, creativity and enthusiasm to our game that's for sure. He's quite skinny but so was Giggs at his age and I don't think Kieran is slower/less talented that Giggs was. I'd consider giving him a few minutes here and there and perhaps send Giggs to play up front with Ruud while Kieran is at left-wing. Can't see that happening though as Fergie has a squad to keep happy and Ole/Diego certainly wouldn't be happy with seeing a 17-year-old taking their place.
