But that wasn’t what happened. Maguire doesn’t point at them and they can’t run out till the ball is played which is what Lindelof does. If they assume it’s going there and leave their positions and it’s then popped to Richarlison then we;d be saying that’s ridiculous defending. They do the right thing. The person that has to be covering James is Bruno. No ifs or buts about it.Being quick to react to an attacker receiving the ball at their feet and charging the shot so its difficult. Also Lindelof had time to move out into the middle as Maguire had told him and that didnt happen, so he was further away from the action
Maguire again doesn’t tell him to get there. Lindelof tells Maguire to get back in his position as he was in no mans land. Maguire points back at Richarlison probably saying/asking you got him. The only one that can actually see and do anything about James is Bruno.
