Why do you ask?
Quite a bit anyway, I watch La Liga games quite often

Comparing Lindelof and Lenglet when in Spain teams rarely play the long ball football compared to the prem.

The games last year V Liverpool I dont think Lenglet covered himself with Glort and this season Barcelona are conceding goals as well?

I did say I didn't think he was superior... so I’m not sure what you’re getting at.

Also you can compare players even when they play in different leagues. Defending isn't just about dealing with long balls forward. Actually most of it has nothing to do with that

Didn’t the reserves end their training session yesterday with a 15 minute match? Can you put up a video on all the goals scored there while you’re at it.

So you have problem with ManUtd fan posting video of Lindelof scoring goal for Sweden?

I replied on your post but it was the other chap who commented I was asking where he is getting the superior idea from.

Yes, I agree you can compare attributes like passing, Interception, leadership, tackling etc but when you compare physical attributes it will be difficult as barcelona will rarely come against teams who go route 1. We are seing it in the prem as well with foreign managers where it is more technical.

Lindelof has struggled against teams a lot weaker than Liverpool

No but if he is a far superior defender, 4-0 up you should have the qualities to marshall a back 4.

Which teams has Lindelof struggled with? Crystal Palace. Don't bring me games when he first came to United, he was 22 and needed time to settle.

You mean like Lenglet in his first season at Barcelona?

If you need me to remind you of the first half of last season you clearly didnt watch it

Yes, we conceded all our goals because of 1 player. A defence that has 0 protection. Sorry I forgot Lindelof is the reason we conceded joint most goals.

So you're saying Lenglet is responsible for every Barcelona goal last season? Weird take

Did I say that? All I am saying is, he is not that superior to Lindelof as you make it out to be.

Some fans think that just because some players play for Barca and Real, they are that much better.

It is really hard to compare a United defender with defenders in dominant teams like Barcelona imo. United last season had to defend a lot, while Barcelona have so much possession, score so many goals etc that they need every player to contribute forward. Take Bissaka for example. Excellent for United but Barcelona probably prefer someone who is stronger in attack. DDG at his best is another good example. No dominant team would want him but perfect in a team less dominant.

The CB role is much more complex today than just 10 years ago and the role is very different from team to team or even within the team.

Ironically he is comparable to Nelson Semedo, who is actually Barcelona's RB.

Nothing ironic with that. Both contribute little to goals, which may be why you think he is comparable, but Semedo has a higher level of short passing. My point is that dominant teams are benefitting from defenders who are good on the ball while a less dominant team benefit more from defenders who can defend. Another example is Marcelo. He had a great season 2 years ago but would probably have been a disaster in Unite d at that time.

No no, you were saying he isnt superior to Lindelof. Not "Not that superior". Now you're moving the goalposts, admitting that he is better but not much.

Wan Bissaka is a lot better on the ball than you realise. He is actually one of the better players in the team when it comes to his short passing game and keeping the ball under pressure

I've never said Bissakas short passing was poor, just that I think Semedo is better. I agree Bissaka is good under pressure. He has a little poor judgement and is going in to situations where he risk losing possession without having much to win. This is normal at his age and will only get better.

Do you really think I have a problem with that? Scoring against Faroe Island is not the same as scoring in the premier league. Not even close. Doesn’t matter how clean the finish is. Beautiful goals are scored on low levels everyday. Doesn’t say anything at all about Lindelofs ability as a Man Utd player. My comment was just a sarcastic, and too me a little bit funny, way too make that point.

No, I don’t have a problem with the post itself. People in here need to relax.

A few shaky moments(mistimed header, bad pass) but was OK against Norway. He’s hasn’t had a good start of the season overall but it’s just started. But need to step up because it’s just not good enough.

Oh the hypcrisy. Getting triggered when someone posts a video of Lindelof scoring and then complaining when others bring you up on it. Did anyone say it was comparable to the PL? If I remember rightly the video was posted without any supporting text. Why does it make you so angry?

Something’s wrong with you thinking I’m triggered and angry because someone post a video of a football player scoring in his own thread. As I said it was a sarcastic way of saying that that goal doesn’t tell anything of his ability at premier league level. No there wasn’t a supporting text but if you read below there’s posts talking about a “decent finish”, “technically sound” and someone want to see him do it a Man Utd. So I was right thinking some people in here really believes that goal mean anything at all. But it doesn’t. And once again, I don’t have a problem with the post itself. But I guess I could anticipate that people would read too much into a goal against Faroe Island. I’ve learned a thing or two of how delusional some posters seem to be in here.

Bolded bits first: You very clearly had a problem with it. You were literally the first to respond, and you responded with:
Didn’t the reserves end their training session yesterday with a 15 minute match? Can you put up a video on all the goals scored there while you’re at it.
You can deny it till you're blue in the face, but it's clear as fecking day that you had a problem with it being posted.

As for the rest: You weren't right about anything, as none of those commenting on it said anything to suggest they thought it meant something. One did nothing more than comment on the quality of the finish itself, while the other (who just happens to be one of his biggest critics on here) said it would be nice if he could chip in a few for us. You're listing them as examples of the kind of post you're talking about, when they were literally the only posts about it at all, and neither said anything remotely close to what you're claiming they said.

As for that last part: If those calling you out on your bullshit are delusional, that would surely make you batshit insane.

I’m sure I don’t. I know how it works. Player performance thread - player scores with his national team - someone gets a hold of the video and uploads it in the thread. Normal procedure. Once again. It was a sarcastic way to say that the goal has very little to do with Lindelofs ability as a United player. Maybe I just should had wrote “nice post but too bad the goal says nothing about his ability in Man Utd because of the level of the opposition.”, so the posters that don’t understand sarcasm wouldn’t get so offended. But I didn’t and won’t do it next time either.

My god what a hero you are. Calling me out on my bullshit. We all need real internet heroes like you to take your time and immediately call out all the bullshitters wherever you see them.

Världen behöver hjältar, as they say.

I'm still curious about this, though.

Who read too much into it? The guy complimenting the finish (disregarding all else, it was a well-taken goal), or the guy who said it'd be nice if he could score 2 or 3 for us (who also happens to be one of Lindelöf's biggest critics on here)? And who's delusional? Is it the people wondering why you reacted so derisively to the video being posted? Or the ones who commented on the video? In any case, what about their posts suggests that they're delusional? Because, as far as I can tell, that video changed no one's opinion on Lindelöf, yet you're reacting as if there are a bunch of people in here wanking themselves silly over it and declaring Victor the second coming of Baresi.

I dont think there is a difference between them.

He was apparently very shaky against Norway. Not the best time from him right now... Right away after Southampton, he went to Stockholm for a party and then pizza the day after. Tuanzebe went straight to training.

Pretty bad actually. He declared it the worst game he’s played for Sweden right after the game, in front of the Norwegian and Swedish media. Or boy was not happy with himself.

I doubt having a pizza 7 days before the match against Norway had anything to do with his performance. And I don't see anything odd with Tuanzebe training while his colleagues are playing for club and countries.

Yes vi behöver internet heroes that do all the dirty work that we who have jobs don’t have time to do. But I’ll take time and answer you once again. It’s quite fun I have to admit.

He(the biggest critic) wrote 2 or 3 of THOSE. And the other one said it was a decent and technically sound finish. My point is you can’t disregard all else. It’s one thing to be technically sound against Faroe Island when playing for Sweden and a different thing being technically sound against Man City playing for United. Fred would look like Maradona if he played in Vanarama. That’s all. But forget about the comments below. As I said I’ve read posts long enough on this forum, and other forums, to know that some of them don’t know the differance. And some times members have a favourite player and try to find every little thing to prove that that player is a good player.

More an indication of how much he wants to succeed... Every chance he gets, he picks the booze.

Are you saying Lindelof has alcoholic problems?

I know you disslike him but starting rumours like this is ridiculous.

Hahahahaha thanks for that. I needed a good laugh today.

I don't understand why some really want him to fail. He is definitely not having greatest of the start to the season but surely we have to be patient before coming with a judgement.

Tuanzbe looks like he's chiselled from granite. Lindelof is probably hitting the booze and pizza because of depression from comparing his own formless body against Axel's

It won't solve anything Vic

Don't think anyone wants him to fail, quite the opposite. We need him to up his game and form a solid partnership with Maguire. Problem is that he has been at the club a while now and we have all seen he's lacking in the physical department, he does get bullied very easily which causes problems in a league like the PL. We can't have a defender that constantly needs cover by his partner. There certainly is a good footballer in him but I question if the PL is the right league for him. The most successful Centre-backs in the PL have one thing in common, that they seldom lose/lost physical battles and are/were aggressive.

We've had "shorter" CB's in the past, Steve Bruce was significantly shorter than Lindelof, yet he won a majority of aerial duels because he was physical and aggressive. Vidic was about the same size as Lindelof yet his physical presence made him 5 times the defender. If only Lindelof becomes more aggressive and brave I believe he can become great, question is if he can? The CB position is not one for gentlemen.
