He was magnificent today.
This is what refusing to admit you were wrong looks like.Anyway, I thought he was okay. Obviously booked for a missed tackle and gave the ball away with his passing more than he usually does. There was also a cross where he flapped his arms in the air like it was under complete control, but actually he missed the ball and Maguire just about blocked the shot behind him. So far from perfect but he wasnt punished for that mistake and he did a decent amount of defending. Neither Maguire nor him were great, not sure who I thought had the better game as Maguire had his own dodgy moment
Basically another Evans, soft as putty. Where do we get these guys?
Why? He's had many excellent games for us.He surprised me today. Played really well. Whereas I usually think he's the weak link and has a mistake in him, today he was MOTM by quite a distance.
The clue is in the rest of the post. Why? He's had many excellent games for us.
We have Jones, Rojo, Smalling, Bailly, Tuanzebe, TFM and Maguire hasn't been good. Why would we sell Lindelöf?
You saying you we're surprised implies you don't think he's capable of putting in performances like today. The clue is in the rest of the post.
When you put that comment in context with the rest of the post it makes total sense. So, again, I'll suggest you read the entire post. Feck me.You saying you we're surprised implies you don't think he's capable of putting in performances like today.
He has done so many times. He's better than Maguire IMO.
What? When you put that comment in context with the rest of the post it makes total sense. So, again, I'll suggest you read the entire post. Feck me.
He's not fast, but he's not as slow as a lot of people make out. He's simply got average pace which would normally be fine, but the problem is that 'average' probably isn't enough next to an actually slow Maguire.Yeah it is. He does not look fast but is.
If we intend on continuing with playing out from the back then he will be key. He is excellent at bringing the ball forward.
Christ almighty. You started banging on about implications, like there was some king of hidden message in that post. I'll elaborate seeing as you're clearly struggling here. He's generally poor in the air, can be quite easily out muscled and a bit weak under pressure. I don't usually have that much faith in him. What?
You said he's usually the weak link which is a lazy assumption
I'm not talking about passing. He is pretty effective at running with the ball and driving forward due to his skill on the ball and mobility/pace.No he isnt, where do you see that from? He is ok at doing the basics passing around the back which any decent premiership defender should be able to. When he tries to come out with the ball he often over runs its, he barely completes any complex passes out from the back, often over hitting them. Biggest myth of Lindelof to me is that he is goon on the ball, utter nonsense.
I do think he was player of the match for us by far today, not that it was difficult but he certainly was key in gettin gus into the CL as almost eerybody else around his was absolutely awful today, he played well
What exactly did I ignore FFSChrist almighty. You started banging on about implications, like there was some king of hidden message in that post. Today I thought he did everything well and had a really solid game. He didn't head crosses back into dangerous areas and wasn't bullied by their forwards. He played really well.
Go ahead and focus on one or two parts of that post while totally ignoring the rest.
Thanks for addressing everything I wasted my time typing only to come back to smileys and a total lack of insight or commentary. What exactly did I ignore FFS
You said you were surprised and he is usually the weak link...
It's a non issue really.
What are you going on aboutThanks for addressing everything I wasted my time typing only to come back to smileys and a total lack of insight or commentary.

What has Lindelof excelled at this season? Tell me what you like about him and at least give me some vague idea about how we're both approaching this conversation. Something beyond emojis would be terrific. What are you going on about
You don't think he is fast?OK, wel in that case I disagree even less then. What skill on the ball and pace are you seeing? Maguire is reasonable at it but often over runs the ball, Lindleof runs into trouble regularly doing it. I know the last few years we have had some pretty dreadful players in possession of the ball but that shouldnt cloud your judgement. The one player that does have skill, pace and the ability to drive forward with the ball is Bailly, but he seems to do it so much without fear and so much in the wrong areas it is frightening at times
Pissing you off apparently. What has Lindelof excelled at this season? Tell me what you like about him and at least give me some vague idea about how we're both approaching this conversation. Something beyond emojis would be terrific.
Why, based on the last season, do you rate him so highly?
Thought as much. You've got nothing.Pissing you off apparently.
I've got no interest in debating this issue with you. I choose not to because I genuinely don't care about what you think. That is the end of it.Thought as much. You've got nothing.
