He's good on the ball I'll give him that. As a defender? He leaves a lot to be desired.
He was lucky, two times he lost the aerial duel against Antonio. One was an easy goal but luckily for us the shot went straight to De Gea's hands. He needs to be more aggresive, it seems he's too light weight any half strong striker makes him look like Mata.Had a decent game
Back to good form today. Last match was just one off. Overall, still our best defender this season.
There was absolutely zero chance the Antonio 'chance' would have stood, none at all. He was very clearly fouled. The extent some go to to criticize him.He was lucky, two times he lost the aerial duel against Antonio. One was an easy goal but luckily for us the shot went straight to De Gea's hands. Lindelof will never be aggressiveHe was lucky, two times he lost the aerial duel against Antonio. One was an easy goal but luckily for us the shot went straight to De Gea's hands. He needs to be more aggresive, it seems he's too light weight any half strong striker makes him look like Mata.
Wow really? His passing is average at best, he cant bring the ball out of defence as he consistently over runs it, he cant defend crosses or corners, he is constantly out muscled and outpaced, is erratic often tracking runners, is poor in the air, his reading of the game is average.
I genuinely cant think of more than 10 games he has played where he has been top quality since he has been here. Why is it almost every single pundit you see talking about Manchester United and what they need, dont name Lindelof but virtually all of them say a centre back partner for Maguire is needed.
We dont know that, and for sure we shouldnt let VAR decide that. Fould or not he looked weak as feck, dont get me wrong I like Lindelof but he needs to bulk the feck up. Cant be beated by every single striker when it comes muscle to muscle. There was absolutely zero chance the Antonio 'chance' would have stood, none at all. He was very clearly fouled. We do know that. You're calling him lucky because DDG made a comfortable save from his shot after he fouled blatantly fouled our CB in order it criticize him. Just let that sink in. Good job he isn't bear by every single striker. If only we had a season's worth of results and the stats to properly consider that...We dont know that, and for sure we shouldnt let VAR decide that. Even then. But it's a complete non point anyway because it was perhaps the most comfortable save he made all night. But yet here we are, frantically trying to criticize him for it. This place is crazy.Based on the refs/VAR at work this season!?

He is such a weird defender.
In the first half he went practically to his knees to try and clear a ball that was hanging in the air for ages. Antonio nearly jumped over him to have a header straight on goal but he got away with a foul for it. Wtf is he thinking in situations like that? I have no confidence in him at all.
@GifLord do your magic.
There was a header in the 2nd half too that he just completely mistimed and ended up jumping over the ball. Opposition fans must be laughing their heads off.
That's the thing, he never has a super gameLindelof can have a super game but there will always be posters say things like "but he made a bad pass in the 17th min"
This is the normal exaggeration. According to the stats there wasn’t any United player who won more aerials than him.Never wins a single aerial duel. I'd feed that guy creatine until he pukes.
Oh yes, he has. Juventus twice for example, Watford just on my mind now. That's the thing, he never has a super game
Was it a goal, was it even a difficult save? Do you not see how ridiculous it is that you're frantic to make this an issue? How do you know? was if overturned? We've seen VAR call things unexpected. If you want to call it critizism go ahead, for what its worth I do think he's good enough to be starting here but lets not kid ourselves into thinking he's great at everything. Being weak and lacking aggresiveness are clearly things he has to work on.
Stats don't count when hyperbole is in play. This is the normal exaggeration. According to the stats there wasn’t any United player who won more aerials than him.
I'm sure Godfather has said it in many posts in this thread. Absolute absurd. This is the normal exaggeration. According to the stats there wasn’t any United player who won more aerials than him.
100% that any goal would have been disallowed by VAR. He clearly pushed Lindelof in the back.He is such a weird defender.

.
It's not the push it's the way he defends it. Look how low he's ducking before he attempts to head it? why is he doing that?100% that any goal would have been disallowed by VAR. He clearly pushed Lindelof in the back.
Wow man there's no point arguing with you. Under that logic a mistake is only worth to criticize if it end in a goal. Was it a goal, was it even a difficult save? Do you not see how ridiculous it is that you're frantic to make this an issue?
Good job literally no one said he was great at everything. You wouldn't want your point to look lost, now...
This is the normal exaggeration. According to the stats there wasn’t any United player who won more aerials than him.
The most stupid with yours and some other haters’ comments is that you really think he ducked. He didn’t duck, he bent down to head the ball. And he won the header but was pushed in the back and the header bounced up to the attacker’s head. Or maybe it didn’t even touch the attackers head. It's not the push it's the way he defends it. Look how low he's ducking before he attempts to head it? why is he doing that?
All it takes is for Antonio to jump a little and he heads that into the net. He's very lucky he pushed into him.
You mean, there's no point in arguing with someone who doesn't claim Lindelof is great at everything despite you claiming that's the case, and who points out that 1.) It wasn't a goal 2.) It was DDGs most comfortable save of the game 3.) Antonio didn't even win the ball 4.) The only reason he managed to get an arm to it in the first is because he blatantly fouled Lindelof 5.) VAR would be giving that a foul 100/100 6.) It hit Antonio in the arm so couldn't possibly count?Wow man there's no point arguing with you. Under that logic a mistake is only worth to criticize if it end in a goal.
Why is he bending over to head a ball in the air?! how can you excuse that jump and head the fricking ball in the air!The most stupid with yours and some other haters’ comments is that you really think he ducked. He didn’t duck, he bent down to head the ball. And he won the header but was pushed in the back and the header bounced up to the attacker’s head.
He was trying to head it over the goal. Looks like it glanced off Antonio and he was very lucky it went straight at the keeper. Not sure what all of you are on about. Lindelof won that header and put it straight to his keeper. Excellent defending there.
Whatever man, justify Lindelof anyway you want that wont change the fact that he needs to improve on his strenght and agressiveness. Today it didnt cost us, tomorrow it will. You mean, there's no point in arguing with someone who doesn't claim Lindelof is great at everything despite you claiming that's the case, and who points out that 1.) It wasn't a goal 2.) It was DDGs most comfortable save of the game 3.) Antonio didn't even win the ball 4.) But yeah, if those 6 simple things didn't happen he would have totally been to blame!
It's almost like the point you're making is absolute nonsense, hey?
