No idea how you can blame Lindelof, he just got smoked by Ronaldo just like 99% of defenders he plays against. That pass from Bonucci was also ridiculously good.
Not really true at all. His anticipation is off and his movement is amateurish in what follows. The goal was pure greatness as it happened, but a top defender anticipates the ball, takes out space in behind and heads that one out for a corner. To put it like this; if that same situation happens with Chiellini, it’s not even a chance.
Lindelöf also lost the ball in a very dangerous posistion after the interval, could have been a very big chance but we got lucky.
We have kept like 3 clean sheets in the last 16, which is abysmal by our standards, and Lindelöf is basically the only new part of the block that kept a record amount of clean sheets last season. Not good enough for a club with ambitions.
It was a copy of what they did against Young Boys, so they should have put some more pressure on him imo. Leave the others, but not him. But I shouldnt blame anybody, it was a fantastic goal. The players were denying the ball to the deep midfield players (think bentacur and Matuidi). Bonucci stepped into midfield, played the 1-2 with Dybala and pinged the pass. Trying to close in on Bonucci would have left more spaces in the midfield.
It was just a great that most CBs would have hit into the clutches of the GK. Like I said that is why they have him back and were willing to trade caldara for him
It's not amateurish. You don't find a defend in the world, a defend throughout history, that doesn't occasionally get a ball played in behind them. It's an inch perfect pass to a striker who made a really intelligent run. Why can't people just accept that sometimes it's just a bloody good goal?Agree with this 100%, it's amateurish to beat by a 40 yard lob. His positioning and anticipation was off for the goal.

Glad the concenus is rightly applauding another good performance from the guy. He's barely put a food wrong in well over a month now.
Didn't cost us a goal today. Whole team was caught trying to push out at Bournemouth so not his ill judgement. Everton was Pogba and Smalling. Dybala's goal also wasn't caused by his ill judgement. So, nope, you've just made up 4 goals which haven't happened.Hes definitely got a mistake in him.Can anyone else confirm this but hasnt his ill judgement cost us a goal in each of our last 4 games?

It was an inch perfect ball over the top. Give over is he expected to stop every single ball over the top. Its completely ridiculous criticism. We played balls over the top today too and Chiellini isn't just some magician who flies through the air and cuts them all out.I disagree with the point on the goal. Yes it was a brilliant cross and finish, but Lindelof was in the right area and should have got his head to it before it hit Ronaldos foot. Shaw earlier in the game showed how it's done when he threw himself towards the ball and cancelled out the Juve chance.
It's not like this can't be learnt, but he needs to be braver.

Either way it wasn't caused by his ill judgement, nor were the last 3 games which the other guy tried to make up.
Because I can't see Chiellini, Skriniar or Koulibably get lobbed from 40 yards mate. He played well, but let's not overrate him pleas.
If he keeps us this form we could ship him to Everton easily and get the money we paid for him. Jokes aside he's been quite good for us and helping us keep our winning form.
Sure, 100m for Lindelof, he's best CB in the world, We will spend on the likes of Koulibaly and Shrinker, etc but they're not as good as Lindelof, get him before we increase his price to 150m.
A player who was written off by the caf after couple of bad games. What a difference a run in the team and some confidence makes. Great to see.

Then you don't watch them enough.Because I can't see Chiellini, Skriniar or Koulibably get lobbed from 40 yards mate. He played well, but let's not overrate him pleas.
Had United conceded a goal like the second yesterday, everybody would say that it could never had happened to the Juve defence. Chiellini and the Juve defence are fantastic but it’s not like they had never been beaten by good forwards. As mentioned earlier, Ronaldo scored several times last year in the face of Juves central defence. And yesterday they first gave away a free kick leading to the first goal, and then screw up on the second.Chiellini did not look too comfortable when we (they) scored our second. Even the best defenders struggle sometimes.
He's convinced me in the last few games. I think he'll turn out into a great defender if he keeps developping because he's still young but his qualities are so obvious. When he'll become more of a beast in terms of physical battles and being a mean fecker to strikers
You can do both. Ask Nesta or CanavarroBut he is a pretty boy at this moment. I don't see him improve that in the near future.

Good comparison. Blaming him there shows who is clueless about football and who isn't, great pass+great run. Sometimes there is nothing a player can doTrying to blame him for the goal reminds me of when people tried to give shit for Ronaldo's goal when he leaped 10th fecking floor.
He's been tremendous again.
