Good game today. Can find a pass through the lines into midfield. Our best CB by a mile. Must be our first choice RCB next season.
Or actually took me a minute to remember who our Captain is. Oh how far we've fallen from KeanoOnly one with any sort of credit and he was actually trying to encourage our players unlike our captain who was busy talking to mike fecking dean.

The defense struggled but he was better than Jones who had a poor game.
Do you think he had a good game ?
The only one looking world class today. Why on earth was Young suddenly found in his position? A decision that made me doubt OGS.
Like Shaw he's not good enough but we have bigger problems elsewhere first.
Wonder what the craic with him coming off was exactly? Seemed a weird move.
Ahh, fair enough then.Had a knock, he went down the tunnel and came back with an ice pack.
I'm still bewildered by the number of times he passes the ball to Jones (normally it is Smalling), when surely he must have realised that Jones is either cowardly or incompetent, in possession.
Good performance by Victor. But I'd like to see him take more responsibility for starting attacks.

Yep. Watch City when their CBs have the ball. Everyones buzzing around trying to create an option between the lines and moving into passing lanes etc. For us players are just static and waiting for the ball to move sideways until it eventually gets hoofed up the pitch. All the other players are either too static or not opening a passing line. We need a proper pre-season where our team can create passing dynamics.
Absolutely. Our CBs aren't great, but blaming any of them for our poor football is completely nonsensical.Yep. Watch City when their CBs have the ball. The difference between the two is night and day and it's so sad.
He's been one of the most improved players this season. He needs a reliable partner at the back for when he comes out with the ball similarly to how Ferdinand had Vidic or Liverpool with van Dijk.
For me, he's one of our only likable players and you can see it matters to him.

Doesn't it illustrate the much lower standard of teams in the Dutch leagueAbsolutely. Our CBs aren't great, but blaming any of them for our poor football is completely nonsensical.
It was interesting (and depressing) watching Ajax the other night. Blind was constantly pinging the ball forwards. The vast majority of his passes were nothing special; they didn't need to be, as there was nearly always a midfielder close by ready to be given the ball.

Rubbish.
Watch numerous clips of Smalling when he has the ball at his feet. It’s Sunday league stuff. Play begins at the back and if you don’t have a ball playing centre back you’re lost. This is one of the biggest problems at the club.
I'm guessing it would be terrible because they're both pretty slow and if we plan to press and squeeze the game with a high line we will get done on the counter.I wonder how he would fare in a partnership with Harry Maguire. Could be amazing.
Any have decent fast forward would have a field day against their lack of pace, Maguire is like a Tank turning in alley.I wonder how he would fare in a partnership with Harry Maguire. Could be amazing.
I pointed out to the stat about tackles per possession in the Koulibaly thread, and Lindelof is on 0.09 compared to the Napoli defender who is on 0.8. Who do others think about it? I think it's a indication about Victor's passive defensive style. He rarely commits or challenges attackers.
