Veteran Del Piero To Leave Serie A

Just scored another belter. Finished with 9 fouls on him as well, two or three not given as usual.

This bald fecking spastic in a yellow short that is supposedly a referee. Utterly fecking ridiculous. The woeful displays continue, I shit you not a defender intercepted a ball, turned and took another touched and fired a ball that an attacker came back and intercepted was given offside. OFFSIDE. I just fecking laughed. How can you get angry at that? You just don't make this shit up.

Spastics making ridiculous refereeing decisions every game. I almost can't watch it anymore. I certainly don't know how you could play a professional game of football when the ballboys dad suiting up in a jacket with a whistle could put on a better display of officiating.

I don't watch the A-league but my local team went top last night. I hope that helps.

Your from Western Sydney?
While it's nice that they are doing well the praise they get from the football media in this country is ridiculous. I'm so tired of hearing how amazing and unique they are and how Australia has never ever ever ever ever seen anything like this before.

 that's funny

But on a wider point though, the standard of reffing is fooking atrocious

It really is. Just abysmal. Apart from the referee's having no clue there needs to be some kind of consistency. At least in Spain all hand balls are yellow cards, the A-league needs to give the referees a set of rules and ensure they follow them. As it is sometimes a slightly poor tackle is a red and the match review panel will do nothing but then the next week an almost identical tackle that receives a red will be rescinded (well, maybe if it was a Brisbane player). Serious problems with the FFA. Not just being Sydney-centric either.

Back on topic, while I couldn't care less about ADP, there are times when players need protection especially the more technical ones (ie. Rojas, ADP) because often they are being murdered every time they get near the ball and the refs do nothing to stop it.

The Blue Mountains just beyond Penrith. I should support them and go to games but I'm just too damn busy.

They have done well for a new franchise though. Amazingly well so you can see why the press would react with their usual lack of moderation I suppose.

My Aunt used to live near the Blue Mountains.
Even when their doing well, it is way over the top.

fecking hell you're a bitter cnut.

This club and team should have come into the game before Melbourne Heart, Gold Coast and North Queensland. It was ready and waiting to go for 5 years and it's only natural that now the media and the League itself are realizing the colossal feck up that they waited so long.

BUT - a lot of it is down to Tony Popovic and the incredible 4 or so month turn around from being named as a club and then actually having a squad, manager, ground and support from everyone associated with the club. It's a fecking amazing achievement to be honest.

I love Poppa - I wish Sydney FC had have signed him instead of Crook, who I always knew was a bit of a bottler and couldn't handle the big time. Poppa has done an amazing job and deserves all the credit. It sucks for me though because I grew up 10 minutes walk from Parramatta Stadium. I am every bit of Western Sydney. But a foundation member of Sydney FC and after 8 years you don't just jump ship. Or not in my eyes anyway.

All I can say is fecking good on them. I am sure in 20 years when I am a cynical bitter- Well.. An old and cynical bitter cnut I'll have plenty of reason to hate them.

No one gives a feck about Australian football, it is simply ADP that attracts attention.

C'mon Ghaliboy. You're from Sydney you can't tell me your not tired of being told how Western Sydney have the most amazing fans in the entire world week after week and then having effects mics ramped up every match day. Jeeze, when they're not first in the league we'll see how their going but it is easy to support a team in its first season on an 8 game win streak.

I'm also disappointed that they were allowed a 6th international player and yet the Fury, Heart, Gold Coast etc weren't. They needed a hell of a lot more help than Western Sydney and now two of them don't exist. But that's for a different thread.
