Usain Bolt watch

Bolt, Blake and Powell will be part of the same 4x100 team. Now that's scary.

Ive got tickets for it too :D cant wait. Jamaica will be insanely fast.

Aye there's scope for them to improve on their current world record which was set without Powell.

What's interesting from a betting point of view is that Bolt's injury has pushed him out to 4/5 for the 100m.

What will be interesting is if they all pass a drugs test.

I say screw it. Open sports up to everything. HGH, TRT, Juice, blades, bionic legs.

We can never fully police it, cheaters will always cheat, they will always get away with it, and those caught will be a drop in the bucket.

The upside of this is that we could be fielding Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes in 2025. They might both have enormous jaws, jutting brow ridges and sagital crests, as well as an insatiable desire for bananas, but who cares. I say pump those boys full of TRT and HGH and let the chips fall where they may!

A bold idea, Nucks. The way things are going, we'll be fielding Scholes in 2025 anyway. :D

Looks like he's serious about an United trial

Sprinting icon Usain Bolt insists that he is serious about wanting a trial with Manchester United.

The 25-year-old Jamaican, the fastest man in history, dashed into sporting legend on Sunday by defending his Olympic 100 metres title at London in a Games record of 9.63 seconds.

But as a passionate Red Devils fan who has met up with the team and manager Sir Alex Ferguson before, he is hoping that his running glory might prompt his dream career change.

“People think I am joking, but if Alex Ferguson called me up and said: ‘OK, let’s do this, come and have a trial’, it would be impossible for me to say no,” Bolt told The Sun.

“I would not take up the challenge if I didn't think I was good enough. I am a very accomplished player and know I could make a difference. I would be the fastest player in the team, but I can play as well.

“I am in Britain for a few more days,” added the gold medallist, who will seek to retain his 200m crown in Thursday’s final. “If Alex Ferguson wants to give me a call he knows where I am.”

A spokesman for the Premier League club amusingly observed to the paper: “As the fastest man on Earth he would undoubtedly add speed to the team."

Bolt has expressed his desire to play football before, declaring in 2011: “I definitely want to see what I could do. I think I could step up to the [Wayne] Rooneys.”

Think of the shirt sales

On a serious note, I hope we get him to come down to OT and come out at half time with his Gold Medal... I imagine he'll get a great reception.

He and Yohan Blake are very handy fast bowlers. He's probably one of those annoying people who are good at all sports.

Usain Bolt stayed up late into the night after winning gold in the 100m yesterday, posing for pictures with a trio of Swedish handball players at 3:00am London time.

According to the Swedish newspaper Sports Bladet, Isabelle Gulldén, Jamina Roberts and Ulrika Ågren ran into a member of the Jamaican delegation when they returned to the Olympic Village from dinner, then talked their way into Bolt's room, where they hung out for an hour.

They talked and ate McDonald's, Sports Bladet says, and then Bolt tweeted out a picture from the get-together.

In the photo, they're flashing the West Side Crips "gang sign." But that sign has become so ubiquituous and mainstream that we probably shouldn't read too much into it.

According to a Google-translated version of the Sports Bladet story, Roberts said, "We said that we can not f****ing go home from here without having met Usain Bolt."

Lucky bastard.........I have to duct tape their hands and feet to get them in my room.

I'm sorry, but the "good physical attributes, but not very good at actual football" space in our squad is already occupied by Bebe

He'd be much better in that category, I'd imagine the FM makers will probably be having nightmares about adjusting everyone's pace & speed setting down to accomodate him.

Legendary... And has there ever, EVER been a more appropriate name for a sportsman?
