I have lost all faith in humanity. Hard work means nothing in this country anymore. God bless us for the next four years...

It's okay to drop out of college right? Cause the government and people's hard earned money will support me and ALL of my needs!!!.

Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and VERY COURAGEOUS! Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." ~Joshua 1:9 AMP

Friends, GOD is ultimately in control. Period. Take a deep breath and TRUST HIM. Yes, at this time, it is easier said than done. But GOD ALMIGHTY CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE knows exactly what is happening and HE ALONE is in control. Now...please try and get some sleep♥

i'll be in my bunker, in Canada, living off the land, with enough ammo and arms to drive the Commies from my home land when the time comes

So do I now change my plans of med school? Thank you obamacare and ignorant voters of America. Although I suppose I should be thankful that I can now drop out and rely on government assistance to pay all of my bills while I sit on my ass.

I'll just have a few too many children without a stable source of income so I can collect food stamps, rent money and a free phone. You've always wanted grand babies, right?

I feel sick right now. Goodbye rights, hello socialist country. We will be further known as the United States of Islam. What's wrong with the American people?

Just absolutely sickening.

Ah feck!!! America is Screwed!!!

hope all you bitches really get your "free" birth control...haha how sad

Thanks for the laugh. Spectacular.

The world...

Has not changed.

Anyway, Congratulations to Obama fans, 4 more years of the same.

As for Romney, congratulations to him, he was written off 6 months ago, and made it a close race. True republican pragmatic republican candidate. I thought he was a good candidate and somebody who is an achiever.

I think the biggest disappoint for the GOP is Florida, where, they even got worse in South Florida, and ultimately decisive in that state.

The Denver debate and the reported momentum gave the illusion of a closer battle than actually was the case.

Think of all those states he needed to reach the White House, did he achieve any of his key targets?

Coulter's claims that Michigan and Illinois were in play are even more ludicrous now.

His party is in need of some genuine introspection however i doubt we'll see this in the short term.

So much for to close to call.Well done Obama ,delighted he got four more years.Watching the republicans tear each other apart over the coming years will be fun.

Clearly insane. Though Michigan is close.

The margins of victory in CO and VA turned out to be larger than in OH. +3, +3, +2 respectively. phew

Thank God the world is safe for at least another 4 years.

And the margin is almost exactly 0.5% in FL

I like numbers and stats if you haven't noticed.

So there was nothing to worry about at all.

Does this mean in many cases polling is a waste of time and money?

There is always cause to worry, Mitt Romney may come back to haunt us again :(

So which 2 will run in 2016?

Will Paul Ryan go for it for the Republicans? He will be a change than their previous.

Mitt Romney for all we know could have secret plans for world domination should he lose which he has now done. I mean come on, the man admitted to only writing one speech.

it's like they're campaign staff(tbf, they probably thought of themselves as such :( )

I watched FOX news for about an hour last night. I never picked up on any Republican bias.

Admittedly I rarely ever watch FOX news.

You think he'll flip-flop on conceding the election?

Text to Wang from Randall Munroe: “BREAKING: Numbers continue to be best tool for determining which of two things is larger.”

Prospects of bipartisan cooperation now? Are we going to see four more years of gridlock and intransigent bickering, or will both sides be able to move on, safe in the knowledge that Obama will not be out after this term whatever happens? Will there be a second term effect, that will see Obama liberated to do more of what he wants to do?

Hey I never watch it. I have no reason too. I decided to watch it for a bit last night at about 11pm for an hour or so and they seemed just like any other news station to me. I am happy to take everyones word that they side with Republicans.

But I didnt happen to notice it in the short time I watched.

I walked into the petrol station this morning to see on their TV Romney shaking hands with people and smiling and I instantly thought 'they didn't.... they fecking didn't.....' quick whip out of the phone onto BBC news and let out a sigh of relief.

Apologies, I read it wrong. I thought you were saying they don't show Republican bias. I'm actually surprised you watched it for an hour and didn't notice any though!

Yes. I dont watch it often either but when I do it is invariably evident.

It is like talking to a Scouser for an hour and not noticing a victim complex. It must happen to some people, occasionally. But its never happened to me.

There's going to be little cooperation. House of Representatives members are up for election in 2 years time...'Moderate' Republicans will get hounded out by the Tea Party goons, if they work with Obama and the Senate.

Obama will have to bend a lot more than the Republicans to find some common ground - even though, IMO, they should be making the big gesture.

After all, shit economy, tough 4 years, lot of unfulfilled promises(not all down to Republicans) and their party still couldn't beat him.

feck having a 'mandate' - winning is a mandate, winning 332-206 is a mandate.

I saw one Dem strategist last night saying if they win it will be a voter rejection of Rep obstructionism, and that you would see more cooperation between the parties than we have seen to now. Wishful thinking then? That's a shame.

Definitely wishful thinking. All about self-preservation. The Republican narrative is already...

-Romney is to blame - not a real conservative
-The party supposedly pandered to moderates :lol:
-True conservatives will show them the way

I dont recall when the international general population reacted so positively - almost in an "I won" way - to when a US President got elected. Speaks volumes about how this man has managed to connect with the non-American global public as well.

2-term Obama. I think he is going to rock in this 2nd term and take no prisoners. The US should be a very exciting place to be for the next 25 months.

In Barack Obama, the world now trusts for more peaceful and prosperous times in the next 4 years.

Consolations to Matt Romney - after alot of exposure, he personally comes across as a sincere man of conviction. But I would always worry about the 10 people around gim whispering neo-con ideas of isolationism into him, and I think thats why the US public felt they could not elect him.

You don't remember 4 years ago?

Are you from Colorado?

When will the final 'popular vote numbers' be calculated by? Looks like Obama should take that as well, though not by as much as the last election...

Glad Obama won.

Did FOX go into meltdown when it was announced he had won?

Felt like a bigger phenomenon 4 years ago to me. I think it would have been similar if Kerry had beaten Bush as well, tho not because anyone gave a shit about Kerry.

I hope so too, and I feel this in my heart tho I am no expert on US politics, and others are emphasising the continued challenges he faces, especially the gridlock in the House. I hope the fact he doesnt have to worry about reelection anymore liberates him to be bolder. Especially on Palestine.

I also have this feeling. I still think the "real" Romney was the governor of Massachusetts, and he seemed like an admirable enough fellow. But as you say, it is the people around him, the Republican party in general, I was most fearful of, if he got elected.

Anyway, all's well that ends well.
