People are still in line to vote in Florida!

Post some!

I have lost all faith in humanity. Hard work means nothing in this country anymore. God bless us for the next four years...

It's okay to drop out of college right? Cause the government and people's hard earned money will support me and ALL of my needs!!!.

Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and VERY COURAGEOUS! Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." ~Joshua 1:9 AMP

Friends, GOD is ultimately in control. Period. Take a deep breath and TRUST HIM. Yes, at this time, it is easier said than done. But GOD ALMIGHTY CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE knows exactly what is happening and HE ALONE is in control. Now...please try and get some sleep♥

i'll be in my bunker, in Canada, living off the land, with enough ammo and arms to drive the Commies from my home land when the time comes

So do I now change my plans of med school? Thank you obamacare and ignorant voters of America. Although I suppose I should be thankful that I can now drop out and rely on government assistance to pay all of my bills while I sit on my ass.

I'll just have a few too many children without a stable source of income so I can collect food stamps, rent money and a free phone. You've always wanted grand babies, right?

I feel sick right now. Goodbye rights, hello socialist country. We will be further known as the United States of Islam. What's wrong with the American people?

Just absolutely sickening.

Ah feck!!! America is Screwed!!!

hope all you bitches really get your "free" birth control...haha how sad

Thing is, I want to believe. He's a wonderful speaker and - albeit dubiously - brings you along with it. As does Clinton.

We spend hours chatting shit about shit in this thread but when the winner actually speaks at the end, we whine he's going on to long? Bah, humbug! feck you all. Lets watch more newsroom obfuscating shall we?

Pscch. I wish our politicians were as inspiring as that.

It's all bullshit obviously, but at least it's progressive bullshit. A small step forward, but feck it, it was a big victory considering the alternative.

Shut up, you're drunk, go to bed.

Okay so I don't really keep up with politics or the issues at hand and I know I should. A big issue at hand is Obama wants national health coverage, however, many are against it because they are saying the small business will have to pay for all their employees care. So my question is how is national health care paid for in England? In Canada from what Ive read, the government pays for about 70% while the rest falls on the public sector.

Well, when he starts repeating himself it's time to wrap up. Great speech though, as always. He's a remarkable orator.

At the very least, when he speaks I get the impression that this man is saying what he truly believes, and is not just pandering to get votes, which is more than I can say about Romney. It's not a drawback that he comes across as a thoroughly decent and intelligent guy either.

It's been 50 pages since the voting started, 365 since the campaigning did, and only 1 and a half pages since the winner of the whole damned fecking thing we've been discussing for a year started his acceptance speech. And people are whining he's going on to long?

Seriously?

SERIOUSLY?

What the feck are you in this thread for?

Dickheads.

Sexual Chocolate!

Publicly funded.

The counters have all clocked off haven't they? Pretty weak that, they keep going till at least 5 or 6am in the UK.

I thought so, but the Florida totals are still rising on the Fox map. Obama's widened his lead to 65k with 97% in. Amazing commitment though.

Dems looking good for 54 Senate seats, maybe 55. Bachmann currently behind...

That went better than I expected. Bed!

If you look at a healthcare spending as a whole in the US, a fairly high percentage is paid for by the government through programs like Medicare or Medicaid. I don't recall the exact figure, but it's higher than a lot of people think.

So where ever you work in England, your boss/company pays for your health care? Everyone is covered and on an equal plane be you are 22 or 65?

Not just England, the UK. No it isn't paid by your boss/company, it's funded through national taxes. Everyone is on an equal footing but those who are wealthier a number of them would probably have private health insurance I'd imagine.

EDIT:FWIW, in my experience the NHS has been very good despite the criticism it gets or the problems it has had. I had kidney stones last month, I turned up at ER and got treated right away with beautiful morphine, morphine is awesome. Then just a week ago I had a CT scan of my lower abdomen just to make sure there was nothing wrong with my kidneys. All of that for "free" in the sense that I don't have a bill to pay etc.

Out of curiosity there I just looked up how much a CT scan costs in America. Found one story of it costing a person $8,500! Holy feck!

Disappointing that there's no cockface Hannity on Fox

He has his own daily radio show doesn't he? Although i'm not sure if it is available to those outside of he US.

Fox News now going full steam down the route of questioning the validity of the result. Excellent.

Blaming the hostility of the primaries too.

I didn't hear them telling Gingrich to shut up or calling for the Super PACs to cease.

The Democratic contributor has made some good points, whereas the presenters seem to be missing the point entirely.

The world...

Has not changed.

Anyway, Congratulations to Obama fans, 4 more years of the same.

As for Romney, congratulations to him, he was written off 6 months ago, and made it a close race. True republican pragmatic republican candidate. I thought he was a good candidate and somebody who is an achiever.

I think the biggest disappoint for the GOP is Florida, where, they even got worse in South Florida, and ultimately decisive in that state.
