Israel will be left with Netanyahu after the upcoming elections in January. The least the United States could do is balance it by re-electing Obama!

Mormonism is a form of Christianity isn't it?

In the sense that Islam is a form of Christianity. Except Mormonism has way more crazy stuff in it. Like God living on planet Kolob. And if you're a good mormon and wear your magic underwear and don't drink caffeine you'll get your own dominion to be a god over. Or something like that. It has a lot of the same characters, but it's not a form of Christianity. It's Bible fan fiction.

It's full name is 'the church of jesus christ of latter day saints', they would identify as Christians- but I'm sure a majority of Christians wouldn't class them as a branch of Christianity like Catholics, Protestants, C of England, Baptist etc.

Mormonism is a form a Christianity. Jesus Christ Church of Latter Day Saints. I find it odd that apparently Mormanism is crazy but a magical sky friend who gets mad when you masturbate is somehow less crazy.

Jesus is mentioned in the Quran. He's even the Messiah in the Quran. Does that mean Muslims are Christians?

There are fundamental dogmatic differences between Christianity, whether Protestant, Catholic, or Eastern Orthodox, and Mormonism. The Book of Mormon was added 1800ish years after the death of Jesus. Its contents are drastically different in content from the Bible. Including how Jesus walked across the Mediterranean and Atlantic to hang out with the Indians, who are the lost tribe of Israel apparently.

Are you being purposely pedantic? They self-identify as Christians and they believe that Jesus was the son of God. There are fundamental differences between even the ones you mentioned or with Jehovah's Witnesses. Does that make them not Christian too?

The Secretary of State for Florida is warning of voter fraud after discoveries of fake letters advising people that they are ineligible.

Just had to be Florida didn't it.

Noticed this gem posted on the FB of a right-wing friend of mine (I really need to eliminate some of these fecktards but I'm waiting after the election so I can gloat ;))...

The ridiculousness of this post is lost on right-wing loons. The pic was shared from the Tea Party official page. Sigh.

CNN really take tedium to a whole new level with their whole "body language" analysis experts etc and trying to portray "neutrality".

Blitzer went on for 5 mins about how body language is becoming really important in this election. Yeah, only if you work at CNN. How about focusing on the issues and doing some true journalism rather than having so called pundits from both campaigns shout at each other with per-memorized talking points.

It's basically the same as how other sects of Christianity began. An alpha male became envious/jealous of another alpha male's stranglehold on a group/society and set about a power struggle ultimately being exiled/leaving on his own to start his own version of Christianity in the hopes of building an empire, hording all the money, and shagging all the women.

A consequence of 24/7 news i su0ppose, They start building up to the next debate when the dust is still in the air from the last one and thus end up padding the news out for days.

Think of all the pundits out of a job if not for the US networks, all those books never written. ;)

I'm sure they'll analyse the policy impact of tie colours at some point this evening.

There was a good segment on a CNN hourly show this past Sunday morning about how presidential elections are about entertainment these days and not substance. How going on things like The View and SNL score more with voters these days. Basically a reality show.

I've often wondered who actually buys these books. I mean, you'd have to be some sort of masochist to read an Ann Coulter book wouldn't you?

I think I remember that, my stream on CNN always auto-refreshed though which was irritating, so I'm watching the ABC stream on youtube.

Yes, I ended up watching ABC last time as well. I'd prefer CNN, but it's not important enough to suffer an occasional annoying sound.

Those reaction trackers aggravate me too, I get annoyed when they respond well to Mitt saying something false/odious.

Nerves!
