I worked with a Mormon in Iraq. He couldn't drink tea at meetings which sat oddly with Iraqi hosts who commonly serve tea.
Tea is against their religion?
Tea is against their religion?
SarahPAC, Palin's very own political action committee founded in 2009, has at least $1.4m in the kitty, and, now that she's not going to have to spend it on all that boring campaigning, she can spend on herself.
This might sound a little dodgy, not least because some of the money very likely came from SarahPAC's last fundraising drive just a few weeks ago when it sent out letters to her supporters telling them that "Gov. Palin is on the verge of making her decision... Someone must save our nation from this road to European Socialism. Do you think it should be Gov. Palin? If so, can you send your best, one-time gift to SarahPAC today to help her elect more common-sense conservatives - and show her that we support her if she decides to run?" But that's only because you're unAmerican / don't love your country / don't understand the constitution / [insert any other phrase here from the Palinbot].
I've seen some of them drink stuff with more than caffeine in it.Caffeine is i believe. I've never met a Mormon who drank caffeinated drinks.
Why shouldn't it be an issue?
The Mormon Church is a disgusting organisation, which only recently held possibly the most racist view imaginable. The really disgusting stuff aside, including the history of the church treating women (and young girls) like sex-toys for men to do with as they please, it laughably teaches, among other things, that the Garden of Eden was in fecking Missouri and that such a thing as magic underpants exist. Never trust a man who claims to be wearing magic underpants...
Obviously most Mormons are perfectly pleasant people, but you seriously have to question the the judgement and the believes of anyone who is a member of this mad cult. Especially when he's running for president.
The irony of evangelical leaders calling Mormons a cult. That's why.
I know it doesn't help when hacks like Alex Jones are hyping you up, and it comes off as a conspiracy issue, but why is Ron Paul being ignored by the media when it appears he may be a legit candidate?
Paul believes 9/11 was an inside job despite his "current views" which are fueled by his political goals. He was blindsided about the "truthers rhetoric" during a debate but he had to sidestep that obviously.
Thoughts on Paul?
does anyone think Cain being so high in the GOP polls is funny?
Because he's black? Otherwise he fits the profile...all about big business.
-Has been going on and on about taxes - fought Bill Clinton with regards to healthcare back in the 90s
-Pro life
-Has no time for Gays
He isn't a real threat...
because he is black (the racists will not nominate him) and he is not a real threat for him saying exactly what he thinks.
Its probably down to him being a Pizza business man / talk show host. If he were a sitting Governor or Senator, and was able to talk as well as Cain does, he would have far more credibility as a candidate.
still cant see beyond Perry. Romney is such a joke...with his 101 positions on each issue.
Perry and Bachmann will split the religious crazy vote, Perry is weakened by the Jab issue IMO. That will hurt him with some hardline conservatives.
I'm less sure that Romney will win than I was.
Bachman's staff are deserting every day. Think she will quit soon and join Perry...probably for a VP position later on.
Do you think she will quit if she is still polling well in Iowa?
I think she's hoping to win Iowa and and gain momentum from there.
She does look like shes running out of money, so I suppose anything is possible.
Tonight's debate is shaping up to be a real corker. Perry has got to go gangbusters on Romney or he is over. Plus we have all this nonsense about Mormonism being a cult or not. I hope Perry make s a crack about magic underwear.
Does anybody know what channel it's on?
Bloomberg, is that a channel? It's on Bloomberg. At least, they are hosting it, and I'm watching it on their website.
Yanks starting to go on about fairness, country's going commie.
