One of the disgruntled old white guys that work a cublice over was ranting about how dems steal elections in regards to the recent voter issues. I let an obvious laugh. He later came and asked what was so funny and I told him about his rant. Let him know I'm no longer a GOP supporter, can't stand the tea party, yadda yadda. He was baffled. My main emphasis was how the tea party has destroyed the GOP. He couldn't believe I didn't like the tea party.

Very unlikely I'd have thought. Even if Obama wins it, it will be a very close election against a mainstream Republican who looks like he's pretending to be a 'severe conservative'.

The tea party has almost taken over the GOP now. There are still moderates among the elite but they're too scared to speak up.

Romney may be 'mainstream' but he is completely dishonest as these Bain stories are proving.

That is what will ensure Obama wins in a landslide. People can understand someone being a conservative or a progressive...but they cannot identify with a dishonest person.

The tea party I honestly believe is a temporary state of affairs for the GOP. The true Americans will eventually come forward and take back the party...at least I hope so.

Are all these current Bain stories working on Romney? I haven't really been following but it's hit a high point in the last two days and he seems to be in a bit of trouble.

The obama campaign has got him by his short and curlies.

The president’s team moved with a fury, holding a 45-minute conference call with reporters to denounce what they called Mr. Romney’s “Bain lie.” Stephanie Cutter, a deputy campaign manager for Mr. Obama, said it seemed possible that Mr. Romney had committed a felony.

“Either Mitt Romney, through his own words and his own signature, was misrepresenting his position at Bain to the S.E.C., which is a felony,” Ms. Cutter said, “or he was misrepresenting his position at Bain to the American people.”

lets see Mittens wiggle out of this.

I will not be surprised to see the GOP pick someone else in Florida.

He is not going to spin himself out of this. I have a feeling his campaign did not even know about teh SEC filings nor him starting an outsource company in Hong Kong...They directly took jobs away from Ohio and Pennsylvania and sent them to China.

SEE you CAN'T say you weren't involved in any way when the company you say you aren't involved with says YOU are the ONLY shareholder OWNING 100% of the stock, CEO, President and Chairman of the Board...PUHLEASE!

There is NO way anyone who owns a company is going to let others take charge of the direction of the company and it's direction WITHOUT input in it's operations and finances...PERIOD!

Wanna squash this situation...then all you have to do is release your 12 years of tax return like your daddy did when he ran for President....


Bain Capital is known as "the black box" because of their secrecy. This will force them to do the ONE THING they were most afraid of with Romney running for POTUS. They MUST open their books. Lol. This is going to be fun. Mitts tax returns and Bains books. Release them NOW and prove President Obama wrong.
 
Sullivan is posting about one of his companies being involved in the disposal of aborted fetuses. It's looking bad for him. If you court the nutters then be prepared to reap the whirlwind when it backfires.
 
Santorum would surely have dug that up for the debates if it were true. If he didn't know, there's no way he'll be his Veep.

I think you're very, very optimistic as ever, RD. An Obama landslide? Unless Romney turns out to have been personally aborting the foetuses, I'd say there's literally no chance.

I doubt any of this Bain stuff will hurt him much to be honest. There's a very small section of the electorate left who've not made up their minds yet, and, all else being equal, most of them will probably be persuaded by the state of the economy in November.

Thing is this image of him prancing about on dressage horses, lighting cigars with $100 bills and flitting between his 25 homes with car elevator systems while destroying American jobs is really not going to impress all those poor, white feckers in the deep South. They are really hurting down there and will not turn out for this rich asshole no matter how much they hate a black muslim.
 
The problem with 'Mittens' is it doesn't mean anything relevant to Romney

It's like fans calling Fabregas 'Fibreglass'. It works on the sound level, and it would work if Fabregas was injury prone... but he's not, so it has no actual meaning.

Rmoney is much better for Romney

Romney will sweep the South with or without those poor white feckers who don't like him.

And most people just aren't following the election that much. They might have seen a photo of him burning money, they might have heard a gaff or two, but unless the Obama campaign is really strikingly effective it's going to be hard to make that count more than the economy + all the anti-Obama propaganda that's seeped in over the last 4 years.

That said, this shit certainly doesn't help Romney, and he needs to start gaining some traction soon if he's to close the small but steady gap.
 
The ads are running non-stop in the swing states. I haven't seen a single campaign ad because I live in CA. You have no idea how much they saturate the airwaves with this crap. Radio, TV, mailers...it's all-encompassing. I'd hate to live in Ohio or somewhere similar.

the analogy is relevant because Romney cannot deny his SEC filings after 1999...unless someone forged his signatures.

This is what Cutter was referring to. It is a fact...and he loses either with the American people or with the government which is a felony offense...to say you were a CEO of Bain when in reality he was not.

I think NC will probably go to Romney. He's already got a slight lead there and that will probably be enough to get him the electoral votes. Same with Obama and Virginia. What's encouraging for Obama is that he has more or less consistently had a slight lead in Ohio and Florida, which if he wins them, will make it nearly impossible for Romney to get to 270.

Willard needs to run the table.....

He will not win all of Florida, Ohio, and Virginia.

If he loses any one of those, it is done for him.

btw these Bain revelations have legs. This has come as news to his campaign...all day the responses from GOP surrogates has been lame...you could see teh fear in their eyes.

Best of all Joe Scumbag this morning was almost absent from his own show....

He knows the game is up.
