Yes, she isn't running.

Bernie needs to get her on board ASAP.

Early days but I see the field as the following

Sanders
Biden
Harris
Booker
Gillibrand
McAuliffe
Holder
Cuomo
Steyer
Kander
Garcetti
Hickenlooper
O'Malley

Leaving aside a couple of spots for the likes of Cuban and other celebrity types.

I know both Harris and Biden are chasing the Obama and Hillary donors. Whoever wins that battle will be the main challenger to Bernie. My hope is that the donors split and Bernie walks through.

I think Harris may get a bit of both sides since she is getting rid of pac money, supporting single payer etc.

She's getting rid of PAC money for her state-level races AFAIK. Same as Gillibrand.

This thread is for current politics only ?

Would be cool to discuss past presidents.

Trump's Approval Rating Declining Among Union Workers

A Reuters–Ipsos poll released Friday revealed that Trump’s job approval among union members declined from 62 percent in March 2017 to 47 percent in March 2018. In contrast, the President’s approval rating dropped 8 points among all Americans, Washington Examiner reported.

A number of union workers who spoke to Reuters cited the struggle in the coal industry, the increasing threat of a trade war, and tax cuts as major reasons Trump has lost their support.

Now Democrats are looking to reclaim the Rust Belt, a demographic that usually leans left but turned to Trump in the 2016 election after he vowed to give new life to factories and coal mines.

Reuters polled 902-1,558 union workers monthly and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3-4 percentage points.

As for the all Americans poll, 10,121-12,436 respondents were surveyed with a margin of error of plus or minus 1 percentage point.

It's depressing that it was and still is that high.

Democrats meddle in West Virginia’s GOP Senate primary
A group aims to boost Don Blankenship, a recently imprisoned coal executive.

National Democrats launched a campaign Thursday to intervene in the upcoming West Virginia Senate GOP primary — an effort that could be designed to help recently imprisoned coal baron Don Blankenship win the Republican nomination.

Duty and Country, a Washington-based Super PAC, began airing TV and web ads savaging the two mainstream Republican candidates, Rep. Evan Jenkins and state Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, who are competing in the May 8 primary. Left off the group’s target list, however, was Blankenship, who spent one year in prison following the 2010 explosion at his Upper Big Branch Mine that killed 29 workers.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if he won the general.

Disgusting. WF is an Amazon subsidiary as well. Amazon treat workers badly, that's always been known. Instead of asking for donations to help him pay medical bills, they are asking people to give up their paid leave to the company. Repulsive.

I read that since the takeover existing employees have been quite unhappy with the workload and other changes. But I can't find a link.

That's a huge story. He would have been a front runner to become the next attorney general if the Dems win the presidency in 2020.

If this was something brought about by Cohen or Trump - National Enquirer perhaps? - and it results in a tougher AG, that could be proof of a higher power
