Embattled Rep. George Santos, R-N.Y., launched his reelection bid Monday despite being mired in several scandals over past lies over his biography and questions over his campaign finances.
In a press release announcing his reelection bid, Santos made no mention of the various investigations into the scandals, instead casting himself as a fighter for his Long Island district.
"As a first-generation American, I am no stranger to the issues affecting my district," he said, saying he'd tackle immigration, the cost of living, crime and other policy issues.
"Since the Left is pushing radical agendas, the economy is struggling, and Washington is incapable of solving anything, we need a fighter who knows the district and can serve the people fearlessly, and independent of local or national party influence. Good isn't good enough, and I'm not shy about doing what it takes to get the job done. I'm proud to announce my candidacy to run for re-election and continue to serve the people of NY-3," he added.
He would be losing by 70 points and still grift on a stop the steal fundraising campaign.Pretty consistent to be honest. He is a compulsive liar and a grifter. He would not have a moment of enlightnment and be remorseful. He will push all the way till the wind brings him...to the next grift
Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt (R) has called for the McCurtain County sheriff and multiple county officials to resign after leaked audio showed the county leaders discussing killing local reporters and lynching Black people.
Sheriff Kevin Clardy, his investigator Alicia Manning, Commissioners Mark Jennings and Robert Beck, commissioners’ secretary Heather Carter and jail administrator Larry Hendrix were speaking with one other after the March 6 meeting of the county Board of Commissioners, according to the McCurtain Gazette-News.
Yet they would call any criticism of this disgusting behavior "woke mob". Before everyone went "woke" used to be fine to sit around and talk about human beings this way. And these people dare to be in government positions in control of other people's lives.Jennings said the nearly 20 people running for sheriff “don’t have a god— clue what they’re getting into.”
“I’m gonna tell you something,” Jennings said. “If it was back in the day, when … Alan Marshton would take a damn Black guy and whoop their ass and throw him in the cell? I’d run for f— sheriff.”
Clardy then tells Jennings, “It’s not like that no more.”
“I know,” Jennings responds. “Take them down to Mud Creek and hang them up with a damn rope. But you can’t do that anymore. They got more rights than we got.”

Something I don’t really get as a foreigner viewing this thread - how does Marjorie Taylor Greene attract such attention? It seems like every tweet or utterance out of her gets posted in here, and I presume that reflects her profile in the states. But she’s just one of hundreds serving in Congress, and she’s representing a very small district in the back-arse of nowhere, is that correct? So how has she so much clout?
I expected a barrage of bullshit from repubs to distract attention away from the Fox/Dominion settlement. They don’t disappoint.
Trump uses the same strategy and because some of their people are so dumb it works, on them.
I posted this in the Fox news thread but it belongs here, probably. They are talking about other things because their channels are barely covering the Dominion case, therefore most right wingers are fairly oblivious to what's going on in the matter.
Was talking to one of my buddies at work; he's a big fox news watcher and he didn't know about the settlement. Asking me when it was, etc.
Then goes on to say that just because they didn't find proof that the machines were rigged it doesn't mean they weren't I had fun with that one.
Then to dig even deeper he sends me a link via duck-duck go (cos you know, google has been compromised ) to a story about Guiliani that I'm supposed to watch as it'll show proof of some shit or another. I told him Guiliani about to be bankrupted and he said that's the plan, to silence him
It's a feckin goldmine.
Interesting how both sets of supporters came out of last night's debate thinking they crushed the opposite side.
