I can see why people are so enthusiastic about her. She has to continue developing her ideas*, but I love the way she so obviously annoys the GOP by her very existence.
* Like when she suggested that a government in shutdown should mean that Congress doesn't get paid either. In reality this would only ensure that those of less means would suffer, while the wealthy in Congress would be absolutely fine. It's basically why only the wealthy could be politicians before politicians started getting wages.
One of the best things about her is the attention she generates. All good publicity for progressive policies.

Yeah, she isn't necessarily perfect by any means and isn't particularly polished as a politician yet, but she doesn't need to be at this point: the Dems simply having someone who can generate so much buzz and get under the skin of Republicans on a regular basis can only be a good thing.

Its weird to have separation of Church and State written into the Constitution and yet still have this tradition of "swearing in on the Bible". I suppose its also archaic to presume that swearing on anything means much in modern cultures. More than half these Congresspeople should be swearing in on a stack of Federal Reserve notes.

Yeah I don't think money would be Gavin's issue. Being married to Drumpf Jr's new girlfriend would however likely sink him since she would funnel a massive binder of oppo research on him.
Which was my point. Dems are willing to vote for ‘unconventional’ (to put it mildly) candidates just as Repubs (same thing probably happened with Arnie). So having a RWNJ ex wife who goes out with Trump Jr. is hardly disqualifying. Or having risqué photo shoots in a mansion.

I don’t think it’ll be up against a Trump when he runs. He’d be extraordinarily stupid to run this cycle when the ‘cool white guy’ slot has already been filled by BOR, and the base seems to want a woman anyway.
