US Politics

Except she doesn't say that at all...

It's not surprising you can't see or hear what she's saying seeing as your head is shoved so far up her arse.

She’s a truly vile individual.

Europe must curb immigration, largely coming from regions she played a part in destroying. feck those Libyans, let them drown. More important to elect centrists.

feck off already you irrelevant bitch.

Exactly!

You think Europe should be admitting as many refugees as there are?

She's suggesting to close shop for everybody. Apart from that, you might want to look up the actual number of refugees who came in and compare it to our overall population size...

Oh the irony... when the Bernie Bros go around telling everyone how he's the bestest politician ever ever.

You don't think the influx of refugees has had a direct impact on the rise of the extreme right in Europe?

Still don't see the massive problem with the refugees. It's a strain on Europe, sure, but an influx of refugees is supposed to be beneficial to the refugees, not to the countries they migrate to. They're not called refugees, because they will be an immediate contributor to our economy, they're called refugees because people are shooting at their children and they thought, well, this sucks, I'm out of here.

I think Europe should let these refugees in. We're still much better of than the people in the countries they flee.

I'm not a Bernie Bro, Bro.

I just identify with a fair few of his policies and think he would be a massive positive step forward if one of the most powerful countries in the world elected him. It's undeniable he has some extremely positive ideas that would benefit everyone rather than the corporate whores like Trump and Clinton. I can also name and mention many of his policies, something you continually seem unable to do when asked the same about Hillary, other than repeating that you felt her foreign policy ideas were great.

He's not perfect though, no politician is. He is however an infinitely better choice than Hillary Clinton. Well, unless you're selfish of course.

That’s fine and I personally think Europe should do her part, which they have.

There should be some kind of control over who comes in and who doesn’t. We have this exact problem in HK where the Chinese govt decides who gets in and HKers have no say

My problem with Bernie and his bros is that I’d rather have a pragmatic president who makes incremental changes for the better, like Obama did, rather than someone who shouts fanciful ideas from the roof top and has no realistic way of getting them passed in either the house or the senate.

I can name plenty of Bernie policies which are good ideas but unrealistic.

It’s like what she said in the book. Zero minute abs!

And there you have it. People like you and Hillary Clinton are the reason nothing will change.

Surely Sanders just hasn't done enough to earn Cal's vote, therefore it's his fault, not Cal's.

He can't even vote though. He's only interested in which President is better for his overseas investments in America

Well, I do have a few relatives retired in the US who simply don't care at all and vote the way I advise them to. :D

was listening to this shit-for-brains Right wing tool Pletka on MTP.
"Iran is a greater danger than Saudi Arabia"
Saudi Arabia is the number one sponsor of terrorism in the world.
"We should not be hysterical about Climate change"

Go join the Trump admin.

This is not going to change even if Bernie Sanders come to power. Get used to it buddy

To request asylum, they have to get to the border. That itself is what Trump is denying them.

I don't think Bernie would be a magical improvement, he wouldn't let them stay, but he would probably stop them bureaucratically (deny the asylum application) rather than stop them with force at the border.

What do you get when you cross big-money politics and tepid progressive positions? A look back at the career of Nancy Pelosi,

On the other, Pelosi is arguably the perfect avatar for today’s moribund Democratic Party: awash in money, steeped in conflicts of interest, hopelessly anchored to an illiberal and always-moving center, and pathologically unable to fully stand up for what should theoretically be its own principles — all of which makes her unsuited to leading the party in the current moment.

Pelosi’s other major initiative in this period was to privatize San Francisco’s Presidio, originally a defunct military base and later a national park. She shepherded legislation through Congress to turn management of the park over to a trust run by figures from the private sector, who were encouraged to lease buildings to commercial interests, exempt from government regulation of staff hires, requiring only that it “generally” adhere to the original Park Service plan. In doing so, Pelosi rejected calls from community and church groups, the city’s mayor, and even its board of supervisors to alleviate the city’s housing shortage by using the Presidio for public housing. She subsequently lost the support of the Bay Guardian, San Francisco’s progressive weekly, which ever since has refused to endorse her.

I wouldn’t mind putting a few nuggets on a journalist digging into those “small donations” finding they are the same “small donations” that come from the same big source like Cuomo had.

From the article I posted yesterday:

"Pelosi and her husband’s personal finances also continued to intermingle with her political work. In a single year, in 2010, the Pelosis saw their net worth jump by 62 percent, largely on the back of her husband’s real estate investments and shares. The value of their Apple stock doubled, for instance, and by 2011, Pelosi owned more than half of the $1.8 million of Apple stock held by a few dozen lawmakers.

got a callfrom his broker inviting him to Visa’s exclusive IPO, which was closed to the public. Pelosi bought 5,000 shares at $44 each, whose value jumped by $20 two days later. Meanwhile, she chose not to bring the bill to the floor before Congress adjourned (a similar bill did eventually pass after originating in the Senate, however). Republicans would later try to pass a so-called “Pelosi provision,” barring lawmakers from using their office to access IPOs."
