During the 2016 presidential campaign, for instance, abortion rights groups criticized Sanders for his single-payer plan because it didn’t repeal the Hyde Amendment, which makes it illegal for federal funds to be used for abortions. But the new bill explicitly puts repealing Hyde front and center, so Senate Democrats backing it are less likely to face blowback from abortion rights groups.

This is messed up
I think it needs to be said - he was CJ of the state Supreme Court for years, he was removed because he refused to uphold the Supreme Court precedent regarding gay marriage.

That fecker deleted the "vote for Strange" tweet I posted the link to!Total Disaster! Sad!
On Thursday, Gorsuch is scheduled to speak to a conservative group’s luncheon at the Trump International Hotel, and progressive groups intend to protest his appearance. They said Gorsuch’s speaking engagement raises ethical questions because the courts — and possibly the Supreme Court — may be called on to rule on a lawsuit that contends Trump’s continuing ownership of the hotel violates the Constitution’s ban on taking “emoluments” while in office.
