Us Open 2012

Yep, really starting to have shades of the Olympics final.

A poor year of tennis (personally) is just about to get poorer : Having to witness Murray and his mom celebrating.

Anyway, Murray holds well for 3-0. Djokovic will come back though, he always does.
This has been a poor year of football + tennis for me

It's been far from a poor year of tennis. Been some excellent matches when you think back to the Australian Open, and seeing a break in the constant Nadal-Djokovic final trend which was beginning to take over has been refreshing. We're now in a position where any of the big 4 can take grand slams which makes it more interesting. Good year for tennis in my opinion.

Tennis has ofcourse been brilliant but it's been a frustrating year as a Nadal fan. And I'd prefer Djokovic winning tonight so yes it's not the ideal result right now.

Since the start of last season! Wimbledon+ USO last year, Aussie Open disaster this year, THAT Aguero goal, Chelsea winning the CL, group stage CL exit, Madrid winning La Liga, Nadal injury, Federer winning Wimbledon and now Murray winning tonight. But I guess Murray was always bound to win a Slam at some point. Too good not to go through his career without winning one.

It's only really been a bad year from our perspective as far as football is concerned. Apart from that it's actually been very good at times.

Plus, while I don't particularly like Federer him winning freshened things up a bit. I still don't see why people don't like Murray and don't want to see him winning a grand slam either.

That half volley down the line then was fantastic. It's weird watching a Brit that is actually really good at tennis.

Vettel winning the championship as well.

I don't think anyone is denying that. Just personally its been a bit disappointing.

Yeah I like Nadal and it has been frustrating to see him with the injuries, but it's still been a good year all round. Seeing Andy win doesn't harm Nadal either.

32 unforced errors so far from Djokovic and 23 from Murray both of them would be lucky in normal conditions to have 23 between them over a full match and not just under 2 sets. So shows how much the conditions are affecting them both and Murray with a good hold there.

Such an odd match, this. Just when you think that Murray's service game might be really tricky given his last one, the women's-like nature of the match in terms of breaks and the slight resurgence of Djokovic, he goes and wins to love.

Interesting. Can be quite annoying playing with a new racket without warming it up. Probably nothing at this level, mind.
