Rog for me, itll be interesting to see how Murray does reckon he is a good bet as a darkhorse.

Well not really a darkhorse is he! Second favourite, final last year, won Montreal, semis at Cinnicinati. He'll do well, will have to get past or around the likes of Del Potro/Nadal/Tsonga on his side of the draw though.

Fed has Roddick, Djokovic and Davydenko as potentials on his side which are good matchups for him.

I'd have to go with Federer and Serena again, maybe even Dementieva as the Williams sisters have looked iffy since Wimbly. Although granted they looked poor before that too and only really care about the majors. Serena and Venus will meet in the semis.

Murray has such a tough draw. I think his odds should be increased but i'd love to think he can do it.

Of course you have to beat the best to be the best but still it is such a big ask. Outside bet would be Del Potro for me. He has such a good all round game and can beat anyone when on form, a real threat to anyone.

It might be too soon for Nadal but i'd love to see him back to his best. The standard of mens tennis is phenomenal right now but Federer is without a doubt the favourite.

Point for point the best player in the world the last two years, over possibly the best player all time

Why hopefully? He's such a jammy fecker this year. His draw stinks it's so easy.

Del Potro for me. Punted him at 16s.

Wouldn`t say it was an easy draw to be honest. And after all, that`s not his fault.

I hope Federer will win. I think Roddick will be his toughest competitor this time as well.

Did anyone see the Ivanovic match? I caught the last set tie break, the mental strength of both players was embarrassing, so many errors on match points.

Ivanovic is an average player, I don't know how she even became a world no. 1 .

It because Serena and Venus dont play enough tournaments and the other uber talented woman, Sharapova had problems with injuries. Overall, the quality of womens tennis outside of those three is a bit average imo.

Yeah grunting should be outlawed, whats the difference between that and saying feck yeah after every point you win

i can understand if it's a really difficult shot, if you are over stretching etc then yeah you might make a noise due to the strain and difficulty but every time.

Honestly, they should make them wear some sort of face mask thing, like a muffler for a brass instrument. I bet they would all shut up after that, although with the faces on some of them it might no be such a bad thing...

womens tennis is shit to be honest. I'll watch if i find one of them attractive in anyway.

Watching Safina
was a real horror show. She was making a noise like a dying cat. It was horrendous.

:nervous:

That s one thing I will give Murray is he does have the desire to be the best, but considering Nadal and Rog do too, I think he'l end up on the short end of the stick still.

Personally I think Novak is more talented but lacks that desire at the moment

Fed and Nadal through in straight sets no surprises there

Clijsters started her comeback well. After a quarter-final in Cincinnati (lost against Safina), she's not through to the 3rd round after beating Bartoli yesterday.
5-7, 6-1 and 6-2

She has to play fellow Belgian Kirsten Flipkens in the 3rd round.

Tomorrow.

Dementieva and Jankovic out, very poor from both.

Sharapova is playing very well tonite. Cant believe how many double faults she gets in a match.

Roddick is going to start soon. Should wipe the floor with this guy.

Murray match is on, for those wanting to watch it. I hope he loses ;)

everytime they say Paul Capdeville I keep thinking of Capde-Villa, due to the villareal player.

Any of the top 10's can be in with a shout. Djokavic, Murray, Nadal, Federer, Tsonga, Del Porto, Roddick (who is playing some of the best tennis of his life)

doesnt mean much, just he peaked late. Hes really starting to round into form. I dont expect him to be No.1 or even 2 in the world, but I can see him giving Djokovic a run for 3.

Personally I think if Djokovic got his head out of his ass and worked hard he would be better than Murray
