Another free kick but from the far right, Giggs actually takes it, attempting a cross, but hit it poorly, went nowhere near the players.

Sounds good in there! Veron tries a backheel straight into the defender, but ends up with a throwin near the south east corner. Comes back out. Becks crosses, after some work in the box, Scholes scores!!! It bobbled about a bit, but then he hits it into the bottom left corner while the keeper went the other way.

Still all United, ceaseless attacking. It could well end up with the scorelines that some predicted now, not that they've given up, its just we look VERY hungry for goals.
 
Beckham corner from the left, Rio and Blanc up for it. Rio climbs but doesn't reach it. Scholes by the way, in case you couldn't tell, is having an awesome game.

Apart from the little mishit Becks has just had, he's been excellent too, and Keano has kept the whole machine moving smoothly. Everyone's closing down well. Top performance.

They're in possession now. Not getting any time on the ball. They accidentally hit the ball out. Scholes plays it offside to Becks.
 
Micky to Veron to Keane to Veron overhit into the box for Scholes. Either he thinks everyone is Ben Johnson or he just cannot hit the right weight.
 
Scholes tries a through ball, Ruud almost on the end of it, but well defended.

Rio has had a quiet game, just passing the ball around to the players near him. Becks is fabulous at pressing for the ball and retrieving it. You can see why Sven thinks he could play in the middle.
 
Good move involving Veron and Ruud breaks down in the end on the edge of their box when Scholes mishits a pass.

Beckham corner though, to Veron, back to beckham, deflected cross.

Through ball by Veron, just over hit to Giggs who was through.

After the inital mad onslaught on goal, we're more patiently building up now. There was no way that pace could be maintained. But its still all United so don't worry. :D
 
Beckham free kick from near the north sideline to blanc but bounces off him. Eventually goes out for goal kick.

Rio muscles into their defender, conceding a freekick a few yards out from the corner of the box. Straight through the defense but great save by Carroll!!
