Still better than our 1-0 though.

People who start leaving matches before full-time shouldn't be allowed tickets.

Well at least Forlan got the ball in the net. That's progress.

WE LOVE UNITED WE DO!

Just keeping the ball now. Still Giggs gets two crosses in. We're taking the piss I think.

True, but he was barely tested. It was all United. Which is nice.

Put it this way, John and Larry coped with Roberts much better than Sol and Keown did!

Ankle injury, 2 week out for scholes

Fergie say it going to be difficult with 3 days left to sign players

Well at the risk of incurring wrath from certain quarters, I have to say that although Seba had a decent enough game, there is no way I would leave Ole or Butt out of the side in order to fit him in. Even when Ole has a quiet game in other areas, he's always likely to score.

There should be times when we play five in the middle, but we need to be fluent in both formations, so I think we should always use 2 strikers at home. If only to give the partnership the chance to develop - the best pairing in Europe last season shouldn't be discarded.

Yeah, especially when you offer half the amount the selling clubs want.... :( (or is it just that it is United and they get greedy on us?) <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" />

He was average. But we're not an average team, which is why Keano, Scholes and Beckham were a lot better than him.

Thank feck for that looked a lot worse than a 2 weeker

On paper. But the first day of the season is, more often than not, good for promoted sides.

I agree the hunger was back maybe the thought of not qualifying hit home hopefully we will carry it on into the premiership

Yes, so let's not get carried away.

Paul Parker just described them as the worst team he's ever seen at OT.

Good to see him again, I always liked him. Very underrated imo.

Poor opposition notwithstanding, that was the first time the team has played with passion and commitment for about a season and a half!!!!
Can we show the same enthusiasm when we play Liverpool please????

PS. Hope Diego gets a start on Saturday. Wouldn't do Ruud any harm to start a game or two on the bench. Might gee up his squandered opportunities.

I take it 6 weeks from now? did they say why?

It wasn't clear, just a quick remark that he was out for 6 weeks. Resolves that mystery a bit. Ruud says the fans were shouting for Diego to take the pen, he discussed it with Keano and he said we need to make sure.
