United sign Jadon Sancho - Dortmund CEO Waltzing No More!

Why is Saka preferred over Sancho? I can understand Sterling / Foden / Grealish, but neither of them play on the right.

Think Saka is more diligent defensively and is a more natural/pure winger.

Opponents will be quite happy for AWB to be the one receiving the ball in space as he's not much of a threat at all.
It's different when that space is really far up for him to just pass it in the box, rather than getting it deeper where he has to create something. That's a big difference.

Can't be a coincidence that he finally gets a game immediately after his return to the Premier League was made official

Saka is way stronger on 1v1 then Sancho and is probably a bit faster.

At least we now get to see what sancho can do on the right. Goal and assist incoming!!!

Offensively? No. Defensively he's a lot better and that's what he provides and why Southgate preferred him. But offensively there isn't really anything Saka does better than Sancho, despite being a very good prospect. They are worlds apart in their current level though.

Southgate clearly expects today's game to be a bit slower paced and will require a lot more intricate play and that is where Sancho is better than anyone else in the England team. I really hope he has a great game today.

Saka is getting overrated on here, he's a good player but still hasn't really done much so far.

How on Earth did we get him for just 85m? Absolute bargain.

Southgate helping United out with negotiations, imagine if Sancho started before signing and had a few good or great games :D

85 million EURO’S not pounds so even bigger bargain, £73 million which in a world where Ben White is a £50 million player whilst third choice at Brighton is madness.

It's rival player syndrome. I remember a lot of people on here raving about Guendouzi because he looked busy.

He was and is bang fecking average.

The amount of people I argued with that claimed Guendouzi was the next elite player. Even fans of other clubs.

This forum went mad for James McCarthy one summer.

Don't remember watching much of his u17 highlights. fecking incredible here. Was player of the tournament in the 2017 euros and then later for the world cup was great in the group stage and then Dortmund didn't let him play past the group stage and recalled him so Foden won best player.
Just look at him going last players with ease here. How the feck did City botch this one up

Never seen this video. Thanks for sharing.

That's a ridiculous video. I also see he did those good things on the left side though i know he's equally good on the right as i have seen from him at Dortmund. Hudson Odoi was also in the video i believe, what a talent he is as well, he should also be playing regular first team football like Sancho now instead of just being on the renties subs bench

I have a few friends from a Trinidadian back ground who have started following United due to us signing Sancho, whose parents come from Trinidad.

I remember he said in an interview he has Guyanese, Jamaican, Irish and Scottish background?

That's obscene. His sense of balance and turn of pace is unreal. As you said, City really dropped the fecking ball. Imagine him and Foden coming through at the same time for the same team.. and that team being fecking City!

He refused to sign a new contract and asked to leave because he wanted to play. He was never gonna start at City at 17 with their team.

Can't blame City for him leaving.
