United Kits 2024/25

Sure but I don't remember Peter Schmeichel and David Seamann using same kits for example
No, but that'd be because Arsenal played in Nike and Adidas shirts in that era and United played in Umbro.

For obvious reasons, the designs weren't shared between manufacturers. Schmeichel wore the same shirts as Southall and Crossley though.

Hmm ok, just tried googling it and could not see Southall and Schmeichel having same kits

But anyway, I get why they'd do it but it still annoys me, and most goalie kits are also just boring and ugly now a days, also in colours in my opinion

Disappointing first outing for the 3rd shirt on the pitch, needs red numbers and black shorts to really round it off IMO.

I heard that there are some awful people out there counterfeiting shirts. Meaning the little guys like Adidas can't charge £70 for a kids kit. Does anyone know the websites any of these people, so I can report them to customs and excise. Especially if the kids kits include socks

Definitely don't look up DHgate then, and don't order at least one size up after you search with a players name, like Rashford for instance.

A George Best inspired shirt really isn't a good look by the club. Shocked that they thought it was a good idea so soon after the Greenwood shitstorm.

Which is bad too. But it was also unveiled 15 years ago. For the club to continue to hero worship him in this day and age isn't a good look.
You've forgotten that it was perfectly acceptable to be a wife beater/cheat in the past. Reminding people that it's actually always been bad is being an SJW or something.

Why not compare 2 domestic abusers?
Best's domestic abuse is attributed to his alcoholism, which is an addiction.

Furthermore, Best was public and contrite with both the addiction and its attendant horrors.

Greenwood has no such explanation. He's caught on tape, yet pleading not me guv.

Peddle that SJW stuff

Could you peddle terminology like 'SJW'
somewhere more appropriate?

This isn't The Daily Mail.

Addiction is a serious illness and I have sympathy for anyone who has to deal with it, but I don't think it excuses domestic violence. I know 2 addicts personally (albeit one is a gambling addict which is obviously different) and neither of them have ever raised a finger towards anybody, never mind their partner.

I do agree that Greenwoods lack of accountability for his actions does leave a worse taste in the mouth.

I did not know about Best's domestic violence. I guess I should have. Media around here never mentioned it.

I also agree that addiction is not an excuse. It's merely an explanation, but it absolutely doesn't excuse it. It's just weak to point to that as an excuse.

Best was apparently an asshole. And he is a also legend, one of the all time greats to ever play the game. And like you said, he actually spoke about his remorse.

Not saying that makes Best's stuff okay. But with Greenwood there's zero remedial factors. Greenwood's just an asshole.

Giggs could also be mentioned here. I have no problem understanding why Best and Giggs are loved and respected by many, despite their awful private history. But with Greenwood, there's nothing to like. He's just a decent talent who's a sh*ithead.

The training tops are shite, anyway. Always resented the way we played the 68 final in blue. It was a colour picked out of a hat but has inspired some garish shite from manufacturers hence, especially when mixed with red.

but I don't think it excuses domestic violence.

@sizzlingsasgaes: I don't think alcoholism excuses domestic violence, either. Fair play emphasising it but no need for any rebuke, I pointed it out to contrast Best and Greenwood as it was then the topic, only.

Good luck to your friends suffering from addictions.

@ ifightdragons: Indeed. Don't know if anyone used it as an 'excuse'. It's a word I carefully avoided, anyway.

It's quite simple. If United go to town denouncing Best, they'll be countered with various denunciations from addiction charities et al. They wouldn't be particularly wrong to.

What is a bit 'weak' is blaming the 'media round here' for being misinformed. The World Wide Web, chief!

Oh FFS. There are hardly any readable threads left on here now. Football stuff? I remember that.

Can't remember what thread it was discussed, but poster said they were in a shop where Manchester United barely had any representation.

I'm vacationing at Disney World currently, and I've seen a swell of supporters in kits from kids to adults, various styles, years, etc. I'd probably say way more than any other Premier team, and only behind Real Madrid and Messi....whichever flavor of Messi be it Barca, PSG, or Miami

A guy in work yesterday claimed he got a replica home shirt of DHgate and took it to the megastore and they swapped it

Found it hard to believe

Yeh that's a lie. Unless he's saying he took it back and claimed it didn't fit or whatever so they swapped it.

I got a replica home shirt off DHgate and took it to the megastore and they swapped it, I told my mate at work.

I've got all three shirts from a snide website and I'm convinced they are real and have maybe failed QC at adidas or something, they are exactly like the real thing and I cannot tell any difference.

The same thought came to my mind when we play Villa or West Ham away...

Why can't we play our second kit (all blue) or wear white shorts to the white shirt (alternative)?

It's difficult to fully focus as a viewer when we play at those grounds, I'm wondering what the players actually feel.

How many Keeper kits do we have this season? I think I've seen at least 4-5 so far.
