United aiming to sell Harry Maguire next summer according to Jamie Jackson

Spotted eating round the Villa ground or something.

Also read it on the AV Reddit. If we get money for him, we have no excuse not to get Felix and a RB.

And how many FBs did Pep buy and bin off? Of course, that won't allow you to write a snarky comeback.

Totally irrelevant to anything?

I would love for this to be true. ETH did mention we would have to be ‘creative’ to sign players in January.

At the moment, it feels like Maguire is behind Shaw as a centreback and I think ETH would prefer Casemiro there too.

Not sure what you mean but if you fail to understand that Pep can buy someone for dumb money and not play him if they're shit, I cannot help you

If we can get a decent fee we have to get it done. Will require Shaw playing in defence more this season and banking on Varane not getting injured though….

If we get a decent fee, can we go back in for Timber? Ajax don't seem to be on song at the moment

Shaw has looked superb at centre back. And Lindelof is an ok backup. Still a bit of a risk though.

Only half way through the season and he has already been phased out of the first eleven completely, without too much fuss.

Got to hand it to ETH.

100% agree mate, just leaves us a bit short. Phil Jones, now is your time.

I'm not sure poor Jonesy even has a place in the squad has he?

With Varane-Martinez the undoubted first choice, with Lindelof, Maguire and Shaw ahead of him, he won't get near it anyway.

Incredible management.

Two huge issues - the Ronaldo scenario and Maguire. Dealt with them both magnificently, as well as all the signings he's brought in looking between promising and excellent.

If we’re selling him now surely it’s because the offer is too good to turn down and ETH has been promised he can reinvest the funds

Sorry mate I wasn’t being serious.

It'd do a better job than what we've had for the last decade.

Then again, a half-dead amoeba would do better than what we've had for the last decade.

You're goading me into again declaring my nuttiest take: We'd have had a better decade if we'd given Moyes 3 years, even though he would himself have failed.
