Under 21 Euros 2019

This game is a trainwreck. Entertaining though

Has it always been a rule that if the ball hits the post the taker can't be the next to touch it? First time I've ever seen that happen.

Save from Hendo

Rebounds have been ruled out from pens. It's a dead ball once it's been hit.

I think that was one of the recent changes, not sure though. I only remember having read that bit on some rule info graphic recently.

Henderson should play in the senior team, he's not all flappy like pickford.

He's in the right team for now. He'll be in the senior side next summer though.

It was because he touched it again. I remember Sheringham getting done for it when he missed a penalty on his debut for us against Spurs.
Ah right you are. Indeed, since the gk didn't touch the ball. Just a weird situation

How old is Dembele? He has the hairline of someone in his 40s

Got a bad feeling that Boothroyd will play Foden - Maddison -Dowell in midfield which will be completely mental. He will undoubtedly go with Dowell as a DLP when he's actually a very mediocre attacking midfielder. Some chatter that he's going to start Kenny over AWB as well!

Our midfielders are listed as

Foden
Gibbs-White
Sessegnon
Maddison
Mount
Barnes
Dowell
Gray
Choudhury

So no natural holding midfield or play-maker and only one defensive midfielder, the rest of the central midfielders all operate most effectively in the same area..

Midfield started very balanced as I predicted....Choudhary as DM (were you asleep when Leicester played Arsenal and Man. City at end of last season as he looked very good in both games), Foden as the B2B playmaker which he's developing into at Man. City and Maddison obviously as AM. Still don't get why you have such a downer on central midfield when by a mile it's the strongest area of the England squad.

Now what I don't really get is starting likes of Demerai Gray (one who's never really kicked on at Leicester) and especially Solanke ahead of Tammy or Calvert Lewin.

Overall this will be fantastic result if England can hang on, think Spain or Italy would rip this back 4 apart though.

This is not true. It was considered but not made a rule. You just can't take the next touch after taking the pen, same as always.

If you take a set piece, you can't touch the ball again until another player has (pens included).
Is it a new rule though? I'm sure in days gone by I've seen a penalty hit the post and the taker has followed it up to score.
